I don't know why, but cards often have to be swiped twice in order to get an accurate reading. Something that your waiter should have known. In the future, if something like that happens, simply explain this to the waiter and have him/her reswipe.

I always swipe twice. Doesn't seem like this should be necessary, but it often is.

The Mexican joint upstairs does 2:1.

Cocotini,
Not sure an exact number, but I had about 80 hours or so this calendar year before I got a room offer. But it doesn't start until march :/

I understand different people got conflicting info on this. Can any one give a definitive list of which restaurants/stores in Harrah's give full credit for comps?

I believe I have been in all the towers at least once. Don't remember specifically what Marina was like, but Harbour was definitely the worst. Of course I don't think it was truly dirty, but dingy it was, and looked the oldest.
On the positive side, it is the most convenient to the poker room.

Thanks. How is marina tower proximity to poker room?

I can't even remember where it is. Might want to call them and ask if there is a hotel map online (I looked but couldn't find one). I believe the Atrium was second closest to the poker room and Waterfront was the farthest away.

Edit: I found a weird 3-D map on the Harrah's site:
http://www.harrahs.com/VirtualTours/...980&height=550

It is hard to read, but it looks to me like the Marina tower is going to be pretty far from the poker room, just a bit closer than the Waterfront. The Bayview is pretty close to the room.

That map is weird. Aren't the Bayview elevators in the same spot as the Waterfront ones? The Marina tower elevators are right next to the hotel lobby. In any case, it's about a minute walk to the poker room. Harbour is right above the poker room I believe.

Waterfront and Bayview are both together. Same elevators for both, just depends which way you turn off the elevators. You're correct in that Harbour tower is right by the poker room, Atrium is nearby, and Marina is by the hotel lobby. Marina isn't too far though, especially compared to Waterfront.

For the short amount of time I usually spend in the room anyway, I would rather be closest to the poker room.

thanks for all the replies...
I want to be as close as possible to the poker room but everywhere i read it, people are saying the harbour is the worst..so the marina tower doesnt seem to far then if its right by the lobby. maybe i will go for that.
i was there a week or so ago and stayed in the bayview tower..that was a bit of a trek.

Well, I am very suprised, but then I haven't been there on the weekends for a long time, so maybe it does go then. I go often on weekdays and haven't even seen a significant interest list for months.

Is it still the silly version with 1 and 2 dollar blinds though? As far as I'm concerned that would make it not worth playing anyway, but to each his own...

havent played cash at harrahs in years....but while you are in ac there is a wsopc event going on at ceasars, there is a 400 dollar tournament with 2 day 1s both friday and saturday so if you so choose you can play that rather than a 60 dollar fo with a ****ty structure

Hey, I am heading down on CINCO DE MAYO for a bachelor party and since if is the Kentucky Derby, me and and few friends will be betting on the race. I was wondering IF Harrahs has a horse racing book. I have only been to Borgata in the past few years and I enjoy their horse race book quite well.

Thanks in advance
