You don't need 7 stars to get the Atrium suites. Just about every time I stay there I ask and am accommodated and I am not 7 stars...not even close. I usually ask because my daughter is with me and it just makes putting her to bed so much easier if she can be in her own room while we stay up to watch TV, etc. But even if I am by myself I ask for the Atrium suites because it is just a whole lot quieter than any other area.

Having a Diamond card is definitely useful for getting free upgrades. I got an Atrium suites room once when the Waterfront (the standard Diamond upgrade) was full. It would be great if I actually wanted a room with a sofa bed, but otherwise I prefer the Waterfront.

I know you don't need to be 7 stars to get the Atrium rooms, I was giving Lee a hard time, that's all......Plus, getting the upgrade on the weekend is practically impossible, especially during the summer......I for one am only a low level diamond card member

Are there going to be any special rates at Harrahs during the Dec WSOPc? I have no status with them other than having the Total Rewards Card (no points).

Played this weekend (Sat-Mon).

No pink chip game ran at all. In fact, I don't think even a 4-8 game ran. Still, the 2-5 was enjoyable enough. The $200 min is great but the $1K max is kind of pointless (don't think I saw anybody buying in for close to that amount).

Yes, they usually offer special rates for the WSOP. I don't recall what they were last year though.

This became pretty true when they decided to charge Diamond members entering the Diamond lounge $10 comp dollars per visit. Anyone know if the food actually has become better?

Tryna get a 2/5 game goin. Have 7 on list now but with "daily cash madness" or w/e they are a little short. Anyone know when the "madness" ends or if this even really does affect the amount of dealers?

What's Daily Cash Madness?

Seriously there was no 2/5NL game running? That's strange. 2/5PLO maybe hard to get going...

Yes, it has. With a carving station open every day, shrimp cocktails, etc.

Not up to Amphora Lounge standards, so if that is your benchmark you'll be disappointed.

Definitely better than the Diamond Clubs used to be - and far, far, better than Diamond Clubs anywhere else I've been to. Although Harrah's in Chester doesn't do too bad in this department.

The "Madness" ends early in November, thankfully. It shouldn't have any affect on either the amount of dealers or games, although it was intended to increase the number of people playing at CET poker rooms.

Yeah, that was strange. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a 2/5 PLO game at Harrah's in A.C. Maybe in December when the WSOP Circuit event is in town?

Daily Cash Madness was a promotion that attempted to get people to play at the 4 CET properties. It hasn't worked, from what I can tell, and I'm pretty sure that most will be glad when it's over.

would harrah’s be the place to go for someone who turned 21 last month and has never been to a casino before? I will be in Northern NJ for three days and want to know the best place to go for 1/2 NL games. thanks.

Can anyone lead me to the best Friday night tournament in AC. I know about Borgota, looking more in the $100 range, and about 65 people at least. Thanks in advance.

Well Harrah's would be fine in that it will be quieter, smaller room, less people and less intimidating. However I'd still recommend Borgata since there's so many players there, easy to get a table, and a steady flow of new players whenever anyone gets up and leaves. At the 1/2 stakes its not as if any casino has better players than others, they're all pretty much at the same (bad) level and a good place to get started. Good luck!

Splitting a lot of my time between Borgata and Harrah's Resort. I came across these reviews saying that items are being stolen/rooms are being broken into at Harrah's Resort

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev...ew_Jersey.html

Any people staying recently notice a decrease in security or are these reviews somehow skirting the truth?

No decrease in security at all. Please do keep in mind that only those with complaints post to such sites, so they are heavily skewed. Also, no way to know how accurate any of those posts are (maybe "stolen" items were simply lost/forgotten/etc.?)

Going by your user name, I take it that you are just looking to take cheap shots at the competition? If so, shame on you!

It's 4pm

4 1/2NL Games
3 2/4 Limit Games

But...

1 2/5NL
1 7.50/15 O.E.
1 1/2 PLO

When did they start?

On the contrary. Just another consumer who has gotten pissed off at the Borgata for taking away a lot of my comps.

Interesting, I had not seen or heard of this before. I will take some of those posts with a grain of salt however, namely the guy who was robbed "while sleeping in his room".... really?! Sounds more like drunk & passed out & all the questions that come with that situation.

Then welcome to Harrah's! And all the CET properties. Where, so long as you play at least once every 6 months, your comps never vanish.

Where the comps you earn can be spent at any other CET property - whether in A.C., Vegas, Tunica, New Orleans - wherever.

And, they can be used on a 1 for 1 basis in the Casino stores (2 for one on the Pier stores.)

Plus, you buy things like bicycles and tvs out of the catalog with them.

Even cash them out on a 2 for 1 basis sometimes.

I temper my expectations in both lounges. Obv Amphora has a level of service and food/drink that Harrah's normally tries to follow. Maybe next time I'll bother my high tier Diamond friend to get me in, I'm just way too cheap w/my comp dollars lol.

I know we're off topic with the non-poker discussion, but I've found the Reflections Cafe to be pretty reliable. Food is much better than a diner at prices not much more expensive.

I agree. I usually end up there over the buffet.
