I prefer nice clean clay chips over anything, but I really like the look and feel of Borgata chips (though not being able to easily shuffle them sucks). Harrah's chips just look and feel cheap and "home game-ish" to me.

I do like both Harrahs and The Borgata chips versus anything other boardwalk casino chips.

Note: I once played blackjack and found two cracked $1 chips at Harrahs Resort and informed the floor person. The feel of them are a bit run of the mill I will admit. First time I ever saw a cracked chip at a casino.

2/5 was juicy last night, although I left earlier than usual because I figured there were too many tables running for the breakfast cart to come around

I love the 2/5 game at Harrah's! My favorite part is the must-move system that encourages so much action.

Anyone here have enough luck in the tournament series??? Let's hear some results/reports!

Harrahs is the only place in the city I play. It's way too easy to run over any 1/2 game there as the play is so weak. Most of the players are there for a friendly game and tend to have no idea on starting hands, position, etc. I see so many players open limp and then flat a raise from LP.

The quote about the reg's playing their hands face up is so true. Games during the weekday afternoons are tight and Friday/Saturday nights seem to be lotto night.

I've been playing 1/2 at Harrahs for 3 years now and have only recorded one loosing session. (I'm down on avg once a month due to my real job... which I'm on the brinks of quitting to go back to school and pursue poker.)

If you're a thinking player you will have no trouble beating these games.

I'll be down there Sunday and Monday running the tables. See ya'll there!

So in 36 sessions, you have had 1 losing session? This seems highly unlikely.

Was anybody at Harrah's Saturday night? There was a guy on 2/5 NL raising every pot and going nuts. Naturally I get no piece of it and lose $100 in the game after he leaves.

You must not have read the part where he lets us know that he runs the tables.

Oh, and thanks for the warning, I now know to hide under my bed Sunday and Monday instead of going to Harrahs!!

I stopped by there around 9:30 to try to get into a 2/5 game, but there was only one table going with about 6 on the waiting list. I did see a guy with a huge stack for a 2/5 table.

I didn't want to wait that long, so I left. I heard they usually have several 2/5's running on weekends. Was it just an off night?

There's only been one the past couple weekends. I normally don't play 2/5 but that guy was just dumping huge. I heard he was in for like 5k. I don't think he played much past 10pm but I'm not sure.

He was super tanked. He would announce raise before the cards were dealt preflop lol. He always went through with a raise. One hand he open raised UTG+1 to ~$200 with 72o. The next guy shoved for about $1k with KK only to get called for about $800 with AA. Drunk guy did not call the shove though.

Matty, please explain. Is this the same as must move at Borg's limit games? Never seen must move in NL.

Whenever I'm at Harrah's it seems like they only have one table of 2/5.

Can anyone compare the action at Harrah's 2/5 game vs. what I'm used to playing at Borgata? Is it mainly a small group of regs all targeting any unknowns? Table selection doesn't seem to be an option for you. Staying at Harrahs a coupla days soon.

There does seem to be a small group of Regs. I don't think they are really that good or would target you in particular lol. Seem to be a few tight regs and a few that are more of the loose somewhat maniac type, but all of them you can easily read.

I enjoy playing the 2-5 there and don't particuarily feel threatened. I'm not a great player, and I feel like I can win in the game just fine. It can just be a little tight at times, which is ok if your comfortable getting aggressive.

Over all, the bogata seems to be looser, and you can table select. Seems to be more people willing to gamble there as well. The over all play at Borgata is more agressive. Players at Harrahs are no where near the agressive level you can see at 2-5 at the borgata from what I can tell.

I'd give it a shot, if you get boared, drive over to the Borgata.

I imagine your chances are somewhere around 0% for a poker rate this Sunday if you didn't already have it since it's Memorial Day weekend.

As far as I know last summer there was never a must move system in place at Harrahs, and never plans to put one in.

I've played a lot there since Jan 09, they do a must move for 2-5. It's got it's ups and downs of course, but if they do start a 2nd must move table, they usually turn the 1st must move into a main game and draw from the newest must move to feed the main game tables.

can confirm that there is no poker rate being offered this weekend.

Though maybe someone else in this thread plays more than me and was able to finagle one.

What does a typical Sunday or Monday look like @ Harrah's re game selection? What I'm really looking for is a guesstimate that looks like one of Stan's Borgata live game reports. Thanks!

Is it true you can walk from Harrah's all the way to the Borgata? Or is that truly just a fool's move? I will be staying there in about a month for the first time in a long time.
