i know with a diamond card in vegas anyway i can use any spa or pool free, is this also true in AC? if so i wonder how many days in a row someone can fall asleep lounging in a chair near the pool as long as they are wearing swimming trunks for several hours without getting woken up by security. as long as i have a diamond card giving me permission to be in the pool area without being a hotel guest i wont get in trouble will i?
1. You need 1667 hours of 2/5 to get Seven Star. So if you play 32 hours a week you can do it.

2. Learn how to use Harrah's site. Enter your number and pin and you can see offers in AC a few months out. If you are diamond I assume you can get as many free nights as you want.

Re: Harrah's AC Thread

I'll be in AC for a long weekend in a few weeks. My wife only plays tourneys. We'll probably play the Sat. 11:00 at the Borgata but I'm also looking for a few lower buy-in tourneys with a decent (relative) structure to fill the weekend. I'm having a hard time finding the Harrah's (or any Harrah's properties) structures online.

Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction. TYIA

Re: Harrah's AC Thread

I looked on their site and couldn't find it either. Call them at (609) 441-5741.

If not, google it and you'll find a site full of AC tourney info but it hasn't been updated in a while so I'm not sure if it's changed since.

For the upto date Tourny information please look at this site:

http://www.acpokerguide.com

It has the buy-in information, tourny timings and blinds info. I usually keep a printout of the schedule handy to move between casinos.

I used to use that site, but they have not been keeping the tourney info up to date lately. Example: the Borgata schedule has not been updated to reflect the new line-up of daily tourneys that Tab and Stan changed and that was over three weeks ago.

Realistically, getting a 7 Star card only by playing poker can be done in Atlantic City - but nowhere else.

It can, theoretically, be done in Vegas - but that would mean playing 10 hours a day, *EVERY* day. Literally. For the entire year. (28 pts an hour x 3,572 hours would result in 100,016 Tier Credits - ok, one day off).

Does the 4/8 game run anymore on Saturdays afternoons? I was hoping to get down a few weeks ago, but 'stuff' got in the way and I'm thinking of driving down this Sat.

Re: Harrah's AC Thread

Did anyone go down this weekend? When I went Saturday, the garage said it was Diamond+ parking and general parking was $10 outside. I was confused so I left and went to Borgata.

Bump because our trip is this upcoming weekend.

Anyone else with any info?

AC Poker Guide used to have good info but it's been a very long time since it was updated. I'm surprised the links still work.

Re: Harrah's AC Thread

Gave this room another shot this weekend, as I was down with some friends who were really there more for the Pool Party and some drunken 1-2. Pool Part is always a good time if you get table service!

Not going to bust on this place again, but damn...do you think they could at least bribe some other 2-5 players to show up instead of the same 9 guys every day?

BTW Lee, you said you had been in Vegas, but I forgot to ask how busy the rooms were. Any thoughts?

Didn't look like the same 9 guys to me! Regardless, I was playing in the 4/8 mini-blind game. Fun game!

Please do introduce yourself to me next time you're around. Be nice to know who I'm exchanging internet messages with. Thanks.

As for the Vegas rooms - I mostly played at Caesar's Palace, which had a good crowd (all 1/3 and 2/5 NLHE games, maybe one or two exceptions) every day I was there. I did play in some other rooms, but since they were all first time, and mostly only time, experiences I can't really judge how the crowds were.

I will comment though on Fitzgerald's. Really nice room with friendly staff, good promotions, and no almost no players. I have no idea why. Seems like they should get a better crowd than they do.

Diamond has been 11k for a couple years. 7 Star is still 100k (not that I'll ever be close).

Re: Harrah's AC Thread

It does run on at least some weekedays. I'm not really sure at this point, because I'm mostly at Harrah's Friday - Sunday.

Re: Harrah's AC Thread

Confirmed. The share across the rooms was something like $713 each. Moi? I was in between casinos - heading from Bally's to Harrah's. Oh, well, I really can't complain since I got paid the last two times.

The BBK reset at $199k+. Quad Queens are once again the needed low hand. Which really frustrated a Harrah's dealer who dealt a straight flush over quad 8s an hour or so AFTER the BBJ hit!

I'm interested in that 4/8 game. Can you tell me how the mini-blind structure works? Also, what is the typical buy-in for those stakes?
