Isn't Diamond in Day a special promotion? Not automatic just 'cause you earned 3000 pts in a day?

Correct. You should check with the Total Rewards staff to see when a day begins for DIAD purposes. Then, after you earn the 3000 TC in a day go back and ask for your diamond card.

Not sure about tier points for BJ, but if you are chasing tier points in poker, I think Bally's was running double tier points on Thursdays. It was just at night, but think they may have made it an all day proposition. LovesAntiques would probably have the exact details if he chimes in, as he normally is the best on here about keeping up with HET deals.

According to this, it's low, but I'm sure it varies by property:

If this is right, 3 points / $100 would mean you'd have to wager $100k to get 3000 points? ~ 40 hours playing $50 / hand.

Thank you for the vote of confidence.

From 8pm Wednesday night to 8pm Thursday night at Bally's it is double comps and double tier score. So, for playing 2/5 NLHE, one gets $4 per hour in comps and 120 per hour in Tier credits. Total for the full 24 hour period = 2880. Not the 3,000 quoted as being required for Diamond in a Day.

Plus, that is IF the game actually ran the full 24 hours. It hasn't been. It dies out sometime during the night, and then restarts around noonish.

I don't see how one could get 3,000 points in a day from playing poker. Just not going to happen. Sorry.

Lee, has the Bally's game pretty much killed the Harrah's 2-5 on Wed. and Thursdays now? I know you guys play at Harrah's the rest of the week, but I was wondering if my recent experience had gotten to be the norm. Harrah's 2-5 not going until 5pm on Wed, and about the same on Thurs.

Some people would prebably appreciate knowing this before heading down there. I might play Bally's Wed night for a while before checking into the Borgata for the rest of my week. I only need 3 1/2 hours at double tier to get a diamond card, then I can trade into a Borgata Black card...for all the good these cards actually do for me...lol

I don't know. I haven't been to Harrah's on those days the past couple of weeks. Between the promotion, and the BBJ now being north of $402,000, I've been playing there on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday this week as well, although I'll head to Harrah's for the weekend.

Don't knock the cards - the food that you can get with them is plentiful and usually yummy. Or at least edible. And that Buffet deal for $10 in comps at Borgata with a Black card can't be beat.

For anyone who plays tournaments at Harrah's, please be aware they take 4% out of the prize pool(after rake) for dealer trips.

I am pretty sure all of Atlantic City does that, but don't quote me on it... I know they all can since the law passed last year.

^Looked like there were 41 runners in it last night if it was the same tournament. I'd imagine there will be a little more tonight. Gl!

WSOP has made some Circuit Event structure changes that seem interesting to me. Seems in Mr Harrah's infinte wisdom, he has determined that the televised regional $10,000 buy-in event (4 of these to be held in the country) will be held at Harrah's AC and not at Caesars AC. December 4-22.

I can't wait to see this...

I wonder if anyone at Harrah's knows about this yet? Never mind, I already know the answer to that one. Probably put a poster up around Thanksgiving.
