+1

Hopefully not permanent.

Also, wish Harrah's would update their BBJ counts more often. The Borgata's website seems like they update almost every day.

True, but the added benefit of being able to use Total Rewards at all 4 Harrahs properties in AC, as well as Vegas and everywhere else there is a Harrahs owned location is huge. All my play between the four properties has earned me free meals at the diamond clubs, free parking at all four properties, plus I was in Vegas a few weeks ago and didn't spend a dime on a room.

There's poker at Harrah's? heh.

So, they have/had a 1-5 stud game, do they run a 5-10 stud, or 10-20 stud there?

QFT! Not for nothing, but HET credits work at any HET property, be it in AC or LV. Also, IMO the Deli is fantastic.

Finally, when you play at Harrah's, you never have to wonder whether or not you'll be getting proper credits for your time at the tables (as opposed to some other HET AC poker rooms which shall remain nameless but whose name may rhyme with "The Crowfloat").

1-5 stud runs regularly. I've never seen a 5/10 or 10/20 stud run at Harrah's AC. The only place you'll see that run regularly is Taj.

The Taj game is a goldmine. But it'd be fun to play this somewhere else as well.

The comps are fine - and have the advantage of being usable not just in all 4 Harrah's AC properties, but at all Harrah's nationwide.

The problem is that, at the Harrah's in AC, there isn't much in the way of food to be had. And nowhere nearby to go either. The Deli is good - but only open at nights.

One can order at the table from room service - and get badly overcharged.

The Diamond Club is only open to diamond card holders, has limited hours, often mediocre (at best) food, often long lines - not the best of situations. But at least it's free!

As already noted, the Waterfront places doubled their prices. Other than that, nada.

Actually, that is one of my biggest finding of fault with Harrah's Casino. There simply aren't many eating options. I find that during the day, it's usually a case of what's not the worst - instead of what's best.

I'm not saying the food at Harrah's is bad. The buffet is great and the seafood place by the poker room is also good from what I hear. It's just limited for the kind of food a poker player might want - quick stuff. It's too bad about the waterfront restaurants too because that was a big selling point to me.

What they give you in comps is fine, but if there is nothing worth my while to redeem them on they are worthless. I'm not interested in the buffet or an hour long sit-down meal.

As for stud..I played in a 5-10 stud game at Harrah's once for a little when waiting for a 1/2 NL seat. I think I've seen it going there maybe 5 times in the 5+ years I've been going to Harrahs.

I really like the Deli, but I don't understand it's hours. Who ever heard of a deli that isn't open for lunch?

Has anybody played in the midnight tournaments for Harrah's? And anybody give me an idea of the level of play?

The best option for poker players food IMO is to play at http://trumpone.casinobonusplay.com/ for comp dollars before your trip walk over to the Marina and buy a pizza or a couple hot or cold subs to go and bring it back to your room to have. 5 min walk from Harrahs

I havn't played in it because I don't like small tournaments. I was there the past 2 nights and it had no more than 30 players signed up and ran until about 4-5am.

I don't play many tournaments but I've never seen a tough field in any at Harrah's.

I haven't been to Harrah's in several months. My last few experiences have been less than great (mostly dissatisfied with quality of dealers), but I've been reading tons of good stuff about the poker room on the forums recently.

Gonna give her another chance.

I'll be there Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon. I heard some of the dealers from another HET property might grace the room with their presence Tuesday around 2am...

I'll be wearing a FTP hoodie and I have a Dallas Mavericks card protector - say hi!

This is why I have been just letting my points accumulate to use them for rooms in Vegas as others have posted. I used to do that with my Borgata points at MGM properties in Vegas, and now I'll do the same at a HET property.

this went pretty far down, wanted to bump

and also wanted to voice my amazement at the awesomeness of Harrah's comps. I played 8-10 hours of 1/2NL over the course of a day and a half and I can book midweek rooms in May for nothing at all of the Harrah's properties (didn't recieve anything in the mail, I just did a search of hotel rooms after entering my card number).

Not a bad room, but they need more lighting and I really hate the chips.

Went down for a quick anniversary trip w/ the wife this past weekend. The 1/2NL and 2/5NL action were solid! We drove home w/ more money than we went down there with, had a great time, and can't wait to enjoy our free rooms in Vegas next week! I love that place!

I prefer the Harrah's chips over the Borgata chips over the other AC casino clay chips.

A big plus of Harrah's chips (and Borgata also) is the lack of the annoying sound the clay chips make.

Borgatas chips are the worst.
