Where are these tournaments being held at Harrahs? I'm assuming they're not in the poker room proper? Thinking about playing the 3PM second chance tomorrow.

Chances are the tournaments are upstairs in the ballrooms, just up the escalator next to the Deli

Nope, nobody is at Harrah's right now. Not a soul. Not a worker, not a player. Entirely desserted.

Chocolate cake with chocolate icing for the desserting, if one must know.

Wondering why anyone would ask the question in the first place, and what is it that the asker really wants to know?

Played the 3PM second chance today. 38 entries and top 5 paid. The top 4 (including me) chopped it up. I was very happy with a $1500 score.

Dealers were horrible though. First dealer didn't know the starting stack amount. We had 7000 when the other tables had 8000. Another dealer didn't call the floor over when a player twice asked for a clock on another player. Couple of good people though.

1000 deep stack had 77 I think, we had 38 and the 7PM sat had under 18 from what I could tell.

I played in the $340 on Friday and it got 119 runners. It was a very soft field but I was still short-stacked most of the time because the poker gods do not like me very much. I busted out about 38th place. They paid 18 and first place was like 9K+. I lasted about 7 hours however. Did anyone play the $1000 on Saturday May 15th? How many runners? I was honestly expecting a better turnout but still it wasn't bad and it was refreshing to play 40 minute levels as opposed to the daily MTTs with just 20 minutes. I like Harrahs plenty.

119 is disappointing. If Friday only got 119 should I expect 100 this Thur? Maybe the Wed tourney will have more players?

Hey can anyone help me out. I read about Harrah's having some Minigolf/Arcade think for guests on the fourth floor of a new hotel. I have actually never been to Harrah's but am often in AC. My Girlfriend and I are definitly looking for something like this to do in AC but get discounted rooms at other casinos. Is it possible for me to use this minigolf/arcade facility without being a hotel guest? I wouldnt even mind paying some sort of entry to go. If anyone had any info about this, that would be very helpful. Thanks.

Harrah's elevators generally require you to use a hotel key to get in, but if you sneak into the elevator behind someone, you should be able to. But the mini-golf isn't free, and isn't very good. There is mini-golf on the boardwalk that does not require you to sneak in.

Agreed. Play the course across from Trump Plaza/Boardwalk Hall. It is more funner.

Annie Duke came to Harrah's in AC, and was here for the past 2 days. I actually got to play at the table with her. She's very nice, lovely, and gracious.

It was some sort of promotional thing - so she was sitting at the 2/4 LHE tables. I actually ended up $13 after a little over 2 hours of play. Plus, got some good poker advice.

She is scheduled to return sometime in September.

Saw her walk by while I was playing at the craziest 1/2 table I have ever witnessed. Man I did not want to leave, people were gamboooooooling. Told my buddy that Duke was playing 2/4 and he told me I was crazy.

Lee did you win the Duke autographed copy of the magazine that every table played for? I hit middle pair on the flop and sent out a small probe bet but some guy came back at me for twice the pot so I let him have it.

I played with her a little bit. People at the table were talking about Helmuth and bashing him, and she really came to his defense. She said he was the best tournament player in poker and a really great guy in person. Everyone at the table was pretty surprised she thought that. She said she can relate to the feeling when terrible players suck out on her and he goes off on them and makes a living off being the guy that does that.

Also, she was much better looking in person.

No, I didn't. I was out of the room having dinner when that was going on. Great timing on my part!

But, she perfectly willing to give out autographs and have pictures taken by any and all, so I could have if I'ld wanted to. Didn't see any reason for her signature on a magazine that didn't feature her. Maybe in September I'll remember to bring a book or DVD that is actually by her for an autograph. If I remember.

Chuck is correct, Annie is much better looking in person. People at the room seemed pretty excited to see her and I think the room was very respectful as I didn't see many people go up to her while she was playing or walking. And gcasmith is correct, the action at the table was gross that day, with bottom pair taking out high cards at showdown for $400 pots at 1/2. I saw a lady in the one seat win $1700 after I left that table in about twenty minutes.

Are you serious?

Most of the dealers at Harrah's don't even understand the rules of and how to deal NLHE.

So in order to successfully deal games other than NLHE, one first master the rules of NLHE?

NLHE deals two cards per player.

Omaha is four cards per player, and players must use two of their four hole cards when they declare a hand.

For dealers at Harrah's, if they can't understand the simple game, how should they be able to comprehend the games with more cards and variables?

Is anyone interested in trying to start a mixed game (maybe 4/8 HOSE) @ Harrah's ?

I'ld be willing to try - but I doubt that it will go. Unfortunately, there just doesn't seem to be much demand for such games in the Atlantic City area. I wish that there was.

lmfao. I haven't had much problem with NLHE there but I can imagine the carnage of other games.
