A few questions since the re-opening ...

Why do they have 1/2 AND 1/3??? And, what are the buy-in amounts? It used to be only 1/2 Super NL with a 100-500 buy-in.

Also, you got 25 tier credits per hour for the 1/2 super NL which was nice, since the structure at most other Caesars poker rooms is 17 tier credits for 1/2 and 34 tc for 2/5 and above, except for Caesars Las Vegas which was 34 tc for all games. So, for anyone who has been there in the past few days, what is it now???

And really, only 6 tables while Borgata is running 50!?! Why not open more? Do they really only have plexiglass on those 6 tables? They should have opened Bally's instead!

Thanks in advance.

I think it is great and will attract players from Borgata/philly/ny. 100-500 is great for 1/2 wish it was 200-500. but 2/5 hasnt been running at harrahs regularly in years so why not go 1/3 200-1k? Will be great for the room once they can open more tables.

Lot of other poker rooms are doing the 1/2 and 1/3 now if not just 1/3.

When Johnny came up from MGM National Harbor to help open the borgata, that whole region only spreads 1/3 400 max and 2/5 1K max (Maryland Live, Baltimore Horseshoe, and MGM) so he tried to start it up here which makes a lot more sense. The only difference is you don't have a bunch of nits buying in for $60 and waiting all day to jam with aces or kings. They should be in limit games.

If Borgata next door has 2/5 200-1K, it would be dumb for harrah's to spread 1/3 which is also 200-1K. And yes Harrah's hardy got any 2/5 games going, but trust me, if they ran the same games as borgata upon reopening, they would get multiple 2/5 games every day ainec (I played at Mt Airy few weeks ago until it closed that never got 2/5 off either, even on a saturday night, but they had at least 2 every day for weeks and they were good games).

Harrahs has always had 2/5 available. Why would running a 1/3 200-1000 be a bad thing?

Because unlike 2/5, most players will probably buy in short and unless I'm wrong I don't see it playing as deep as 2/5.

This is true.

On another note, why does this room always smell so bad. Not to mention There are mosquitoes inhabiting the poker room and sportsbook for 12 months out of the year. Plus the random moths flying around the casino floor. Cringe.

I played this past Monday for the entire afternoon. Love that Harrahs setup allows 8 people at the table. My only complaint about the plastic screens is there's an echo when talking/verbalizing bets which is distracting. I didn't notice the echo at Borgata but my guess is because the ceilings are much lower at Harrahs

I see Harrah's is up to seven tables now (five $1/2 and one each of $1/3 and $2-6 limit hold em) and has a very manageable waiting list.

I will attempt to get a trip together. Do they still have the free room offer for playing four hours?

It's been tough to do in recent years, however I suspect now it's a lot easier. Maybe try to call and ask? Mid week I'm assuming is easier

I'm getting free rooms for almost every night from the harrah's website, despite only playing there a few times in 2019/2020.

Has anyone played at Harrahs since they reopened? How have the games been? Good to see an alternative option for poker in Atlantic City other than Borgata.

I read playing four hours of poker gets you a free room Sun-Thurs. I read it’s also based on availability. Is it possible to get a room on all five days? Is there any particular time to grind the four hours that gives someone a better chance of them having available rooms to give out? Wonder if it’s possible to do long term? Stay a couple of weeks and only have to pay for a room Fri-Sat would be a nice inexpensive vacation.

It’s ok, but borgata is king. Game quality is largely dependent on players, in my one night at harrahs can’t judge that

Not sure about best hours for free room but keep in mind their poker room doesn't open until 12 pm or so.

Thank you for the info. Is that normal for that room? Never played in Atlantic City before.

It's the new normal because of covid but the room has traditionally been 24/7 before COVID
