Until recently you could download a pdf from the Harrah's Philly website explaining their high hand rules. They stated that the start and end of the high hand period coincides (I believe that's the word they used) with the announcement of the beginning and end of the period. I just checked and I don't see it on the site anymore.

Caesars built that big WSOP poker room at the Wild West, but the circuit events are still being held at Harrah's.?

Haven't been to Harrah's AC in a few months. I just noticed on Bravo that, instead of a free buffet after 5 hours of play, you now get a $20 food voucher? I just looked on Harrah's website that the buffet went from $20 up to $35! Wow. Is the food voucher good at any Harrah's restaurant?

Wound up at Harrah's Monday evening for the first time in ages. I had done most of my playing and staying near the Boardwalk for my (mostly) non-poker playing wife to have stuff to do, but now that it's cold that wasn't important and I had a room at the Golden Nugget through a cheap Living Social deal.

Was gonna play their tournament but it didn't go and there was only a single low limit game and Harrah's was both close and had a tournament so I walked there (across the barricade separating the highway between the two places, which I don't recommend if there is traffic).

Bombed the tournament (but played well) and jumped into $1/2 until a little after 3 for a nice profit. Remembered why that place used to be my room of choice a few years ago when I was able to receive lots of comps from CET.

Yeh, the GN room is usually prety dead.

FYI, you can walk from GN to Harrah's without crossing the highway. There's a walkway that follows the highway, with the highway on your left, and the bay on your right. It's been awhile but I think it starts on the east side of the parking garage.

Is it possible to get a poker room rate here? If so how many hours do you need to play?

On Bravo app, if you play for 4 hours, you get a weekday room comped. I recommend calling the poker room for details.

Thinking about heading over for a cheap tourney on Mon or Tues. Are they always running? Guarantees in place? Rebuys for all, or just guarantee tourneys?

My uncle and I are both diamond members. I have been wondering is it worth more for us to play on one card to become a seven star and since they have a plus one we will both receive the upgrade. We do not want to give up the comps we have now if it is not greater than what seven star offers. Just want some people opinions thanks...

Even though TR has definitely weakened, it seems like their casinos are the only places where you can get same-day poker room comps consistently. I'm mostly concerned with taking a trip down to AC where I can pay cheap for a room, even if it takes serious grinding. I've only stayed at Harrah's and Revel (RIP) , and Harrah's rooms were really nice. Not quite related, but is there anywhere else that's possible to get a deal like the TR one?

I live hours away from Borgata. I play there several times per year. As long as I average 8 or more hours per session, I get 2 days (Sun - Thurs) comped, and discounted rates on Fri and Sat.

I have a reservation next month in which Wed and Thurs are comped, Fri and Sat are $99 and $119, and Sun and Mon are comped. $218 for six days at Borgata in July is pretty good, in my opinion.

I agree with the following post:

This is mostly based on $1/$2 NL, with occasional $2/$5 NL.

They don't have omaha weekends or weekdays at Harrah's. During a circuit event maybe, and even then all the good cash games are still at Borgata.
