Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction so I finally have an answer to what led to the change for me and my room offers. If CET does start comping me again I will go back sometimes but they pushed me into the arms of Borgata and Revel and those rooms have tight holds on me now.

Looks like Harrahs replaced their $5 chips. Are their $25 chips next?

Day shift dealers at harrahs are horrid I'm done playing there I really can't stand dealers that don't shut up cant pitch cards are slow and put out the flops like it is the hardest thing in world to do....

Gave them 7 weeks of action and pretty much done...the comps do me no good cus the 2/1....place reeks of favoritism to the regs

Huh? Why the hate? Really - because I have no idea where you are coming from on this. I played at Harrah's in Atlantic City for years, and still play there when I'm in town. They have a very good poker room, it seems to me. And I've no complaint with the dealers.

I used to give harrahs pretty consistent 2/5 action but have since sworn off the place after this incident:

Three ways to the flop and im in sandwich position between two mangy looking poker pals who give the impression that they're super- regulars in the room. Player 1 bets, I fold, Player 2 calls under the agreement that they'll check it down the rest of the hand. Neither the dealer or floor could even begin to form an understanding of how this is outright collusion in a three way pot.

Adding to what someone else said about the slow, chatty dealers it seems like the 'everyone knows your name' mentality of the room has really compromised the quality and integrity of the games.

I'm sure the room representative will be in this thread shortly to clear things up keeping with harrahs top notch customer care..

+1...........asked one day for a floor to put a race on And he told me he isn't switching off the stock market channel....I was in stone disbelief any casino I ever been at horse racing takes precedent over anything

Yes it is a reg fest, it is collusion, but in there stand point it is not collusion cause they are just friends and don't want to take each others money. I have played there a lot, and all the dealers knew my name as well.

I don't know why there is so much distaste for this room, as the dealers have always treated all players with respect and all issues have been resolved professionally. Yes, there are a lot of regulars that play in this room, but that has not compromised the quality of the games and I've seen nothing but fair play.

Don't really think anybody is cheating it's just a reg fest.....I started playing there a few months back did pretty well but don't like the regs that swarm every table....

You got one reg that always has between $37-$74 in front of him...and there are more along those lines....

Then there are people like you......that won't pay me off and never get money in bad and that is a compliment to your game I'd rather not see you at my table Hahahahahahaha

No, what happens is there are seven star guys that take their friends with them, and these regs, get like 40K credits a year anyway. Figure they there every day for like 6 hours, 300 days a year, 1,800 hours. At 1/2 its 30K points, and the regs play 1/3 for 1.5X credits or 2/5 for double credits.

They recently switched out the $5 chips at Harrah's due to the manufacturer of the old chips going out of business. The $25 chips should be switched out as well in the near future. IMO, I think the new chips are better cause they are easier to handle and prevent people from "forcing out the middle piece".

FYI, the old $5 chips no longer play and you will need to switch them out at the cage if you have any of the old ones you're holding on to. This is the same thing they did with the $1 ones a long time ago and I believe they are moving to standardize all the chip denominations.
