I'd venture a guess here but I imagine Newark airport has all the major rental companies. If you're happening to stay a week I know rates tend to be discounted to ~$200 for the week. Priceline has worked out well for me in the past as well. There is a commuter train that will take you back and forth between AC and Philly (30th street station) for $10 per trip if you don't feel like driving.

Why would you fly into Newark instead of Philly?

Any chance 5/10nl will be running here during the wsop circuit events this weekend or will I have to drive over to the borg?

Based on history, there will normally be 1 table of 5/10 NL going.

Does the daily 815pm tourney get many/any entries on Mondays?

Sorry to bother whoever the Harrah's representative is in this forum but I have two questions. Is the Rakeback promotion going to be a monthly promotion from now on and if you put in 40 to 50 hours a week playing poker specifically 1/2 can you get free rooms?

There never is a 5/10 running...saw it once when the Borgata locked out the cash game players

I am not the Harrah's rep, however, I have confirmed with CET poker management that the rakeback promotion will continue to run through March for April redemption. Dates will be April 10th and 24th with the same hourly criteria as before. I'm not sure beyond that if it will continue.

As far as rooms go, there is no correlation between poker hours put in and comp room status. I do know that poker room rates are available daily based on availability if you play 5 hours or more, however, comp room offers are solely based on the Total Rewards player card tier system and your qualifying level. I also know that once you reach diamond status, room offers are easier to come by, but I've heard from several poker only players that room offers are getting harder and harder to get.

Are you sure about that? I was Diamond for a few years running and well on my way to earning it again in 2012 when my room offers completely stopped in May. I haven't been offered even one night since then. On the other hand, my wife, who earned about 10 tier points playing roulette one night receives free room offers every month.

It may also have to do with where you live and distance from the casinos. Since l live in Maryland, I may get more room offers than someone say in Jersey or Philadelphia. My husband had the same issue since before we were married, he lived closer to AC and as a result got fewer room offers.

I solely play poker and have since Oct. 2011. Im still receiving four comp nights a month and four "special rates" a month which amount to about $20. I am a high diamond though. Last summer, my husband's offers were cut off for comps during peak season and we had trouble then. He solely played poker as well. His offers did return though in September, but he received no comp rooms in the summer.

Worst comes to worst, if your wife is getting room offers for only 10 tier points at a table or slot, then run the $50 through the machine and see if that helps. I know the rooms are much more valuable than that amount.

That could be it. I live a bit over 100 miles from AC but still in NJ. Anyway it all worked out for the best for me. CET cutting off my free rooms encouraged me to move my play to other properties in AC and within a few weeks I was getting better room offers from them than CET ever offered me.

BBJ hit today at 3:30pm, hand was quad nines beaten by quad kings. Room share was $808. Just reset to quad kings at $223,000. Congrats to all who shared in the money!

I called them once about this, 1 room per family. My dad was getting the free offers so I wasn't, now I get them again.

I booked some nights with a friend of mine next month. The rooms are so cheap right now! Am planning to play some poker and visit some nearby tourist spots, like seaside high etc.

Do you guys know where I can get some adult entertainment aswell? Like some stripclub? I am from Europe and never been to one.

Wow. I called CET Customer Relations to see if this was the case for me and indeed it was. They refer to it as their Householding Policy.

I asked the rep if it made any sense to her for CET to completely stop issuing room offers to a longstanding Diamond player (me) and lose me as a customer and instead offer them to a one time new player (my wife) who never played there before April of last year, played about 30 minutes of roulette on that visit and never came back. She didn't give an answer.

But as I wrote before, it all worked out for the better for me.

Yea it is so stupid, but like I said, I called as well, and the next month I started getting the free rooms again, the only problem for you now, is that summer is coming soon, and they do not give poker players free rooms July-September.
