Personally I would never play it then, and neither would several other semi-regulars I know. I come specifically to play the stud, only play the omaha because I have to. If I wanted to play omaha I would play it at the Borgata.

yeah but that game is full of regulars, you hardly see any new faces

For an accurate update: The regular OE game is 1/2 stud, 1/2 Omaha, both played hi-low. The betting limits are $10/$20. The Omaha part is played with a half kill, so it becomes $15/$30.

The game goes most days, and raising is common. No griping that I've heard about it.

Tonight there was a special, private, tournament for the Parx dealers and staff. Quite a noisy bunch, who were all having a great time and spewing chips at the cash games. At least that limited my losses......

There were 2 tables of 4/8 Omaha hi-low going on at one point, only 1 table in action when I called it quits a little while ago. Good games!

As a further update, there were 2 tables of 10/20 going on Monday. So the new limits don't seem to be hurting the popularity. And while there is a core group of regulars, there are also new faces at the tables as well.

donotdont - why all the negativity? Are you a Borgata plant?

Went yesterday and had 3 bucks in comps before sitting down. Played a 9 hour session and just checked and I have 17 comp dollars. Is the comp rate still buck/hr or did they increase it?

Also, roughly how many hours of 1/2 does someone have to log in a year to get platinum status starting from 0 tier score?

I received a 5 bonus from CET and maybe you did, too. 3+5+9 (1 per hour) = 17.

Lee, I thought the mixed game at harrahs was 7.5/15, not 10/20.

It was recently changed due to interest in raising the stakes. There is still an interest list for the "pink chip" game, but mostly it is running at the 10/20 level now. Its still the same structure, with Omaha and Stud alternating every half hour and playing high/low, plus there is a half kill added to the Omaha part.

Oh cool. I don't think I went to harrahs in march so I musta missed the changeover. I wish they'd spread a pink chip holdem game. The one at the trop was so soft when it would run. For some reason pink chips make people go nuts lol

Harrah's Facebook page just posted the following:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Sammy D's will be closed until further notice. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

I went a couple times and didn't think much of it... How can a guy from Brooklyn use anything but Fox's U-Bet in his Egg Creams? Anyone know anything about this?

One of the dealers said there was a small fire. I think they reopened already.

I've noticed on the Bravo app that there's been a lot of interest lists for different games lately; 1-5 stud, 4/8 LHE, 4/8 OE, 5/10 LHE, 5-10 stud, etc...

Have any of these non-regular games gone lately ?

Also, with the pink chip OE game going to 10/20, can anyone compare/contrast that with the old Borgata 2-way (now O8) game ?

Thanks,
CM

Happened to be here 2 weeks ago when Parx dealer tourney was going on/the ensuing loooooose cash games were wonderful. Any regs know how often this occurs (and want to divulge for the public good) ?!? Do any other casinos send their crew here for similar festivities? Parx regular, but was using a comped room and loved being able to take revenge on some beats the dealers put on me a few days earlier!

Anyone know if/when Harrah's will be doing WSOP ME satellites? I see they have done them in years past.

I see a list for 4/8 OE on the Bravo app. Has this game ever gone on a weekend ?

Yes, but not consistently. Its based on player demand. It has gone a few weekends when I've been there, but is not regularly offered. If there is enough interest, they will open the game.

Poker credit postings have slipped at times, so I'd suggest going to the poker room and ensure that your time was logged. Then you will need to go to the Total Rewards (TR) counter at Harrah's to make your claim.

Check the Borgata's Saturday instead. The Harrah's tourney only had 11 registrants ten minutes before start a few Saturday's ago. Borgata had over 100.
