They also give you a little strip of paper, maybe an inch high and 4 or 5 inches long that has your name, room number and date. That is what you'll need to show the driver.

Yes, they do. Earn 50 or more hours in December for the freeroll being held on January 12th (if I recall correctly). Start with 10,000 chips for 50+ hours, 12,500 chips for 80+ hours, and 15,000 chips for 100+ hours.

The freeroll promo has changed from winning a tourney to be entered to having to play minimum 50 hours in December for entry into the January tournament.

Do you know where is the daily schedule? Like is it twice every hour? Is it the same weekday as oppose to weekend? Do jitneys arrive faster than these free shuttles? I see it says it runs between 10am and 11pm but are there always a lot of people waiting in line for these? I assume if i'm checking out the morning of the day i'm leaving, i won't be eligible to use the free shuttle? Thus i could only use the free shuttle those 2 nights im staying? Because if this is case, I will definitely stay at showboat or harrahs if i can use the free shuttle service.

Also, what is the thing that you have to show proof that you are staying at a room? Usually all im given is the room key. Do i need to ask for the receipt? That is what i read online.
Proof to ride the shuttle includes your Total Rewards card and Room Key if your are a gold card member. Platinum, Diamond, and Seven Star can ride without the key. Schedules are about every half hour, although they can be a bit off and there are sometimes long lines for the shuttle. The jitney is worth the $2.25 in terms of speed and you can request any stop along the way. The number 2 schedule runs to all CET propeties and is fairly quick and arrives frequently at most Jitney stops.

You need the slip of paper with your room number on it, not your room key. They are really anal about this.

The Shuttle usually runs every 30 minutes most of the year, but I think during the winter it might only run every 60 minutes. The Jitney runs much more often and is much faster, because they dont take 20 minutes at every stop checking everyone's room slip.

It is in fact the number 2 that goes from the boardwalk casinos to Harrah's and the Borgata.

The #2 Jitney makes stops all along Pacific, not just at casinos, and goes to the 3 Marina casinos (Golden Nugget, Harrah's, and Borgata) as well.

Glad to see that the dealers are "discouraging" IWTSTH in the room. At a 1/2 NL table today, a Eastern European player (he showed a Croatian passport as ID) went all in on the flop and got one caller and the E European player showed AA. The caller mucked and the E European player invoked IWTSTH well after the dealer essentially mixed the caller's cards into the muck turbo fast. Dealer told the E European player, "if your eyes are faster than mine, then you can pick the two cards out of the muck." It could've been just right and the dealer was just doing her job, but I'd like to think dealers are watching out and discouraging otherwise frowned upon behavior.

That's if one can find those games running for 50 hours a week and want to play in them. But, it is doable, if one wants to play 2,500 hours of poker a year! I did that once, and it left me totally spent. Never again by me!

Under the proposed new point system (already in use at the Vegas properties and perhaps elsewhere), those games would only pay 34 points per hour.

Thus, one would have to play almost 3,000 hours of 2/5 and higher a year in order to make 7 Star!

So, is it possible to still make 7 Star? Yes, its possible, but that's one heck of a lot of poker!

Confirmed that Harrah's 2/5 game uses the new 34 point/hour system now.

If the Croatian was the last person to bet/raise then he is the only one obligated to show his hand.
The caller only has to show if they can beat him at the showdown.

Are you remembering it accurately?
Was the Croatian actually the caller and the other guy the bettor?

I can confirm that Harrah's has been proactive in disouraging IWTSTH. For which I, amongst others, am very gratefull!

Are there any ces/showboat regs in here?

Also, another question:
Has anyone seen the signs in ceasars elevators saying there's a freeroll in january and to qualify you have to have at least 50 hrs of play time in december? I asked aboutt it in showboat and the dealer said they're not doing it anymore. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

I responded to your PM. Nope, it wasn't me playing there. We'll be back in town around Monday or so for a week. Then leaving on January 1st for a lengthy Vegas trip.

We'll be staying at Bally's, and probably mostly playing there. But will be playing at Harrah's as well.

Happy Holidays, everyone!

The freeroll is on. Earn 50 plus hours in December, and play in the freeroll in January. 10,000 chips for 50 plus hours, 12,500 chips for 80+ hours, 15,000 chips for 100+ hours.

False. They are two separate freerolls.

Hey, so for a friends bachelor party we have our mind set on the Waterfront corner suite. Although the day we are going is Saturday May 5th (Cinco De Mayo) so room prices are crazy. The normal rate of $550 on a given day now is $1300 that night. Can anyone recommend this room or something else?

Also how hard would it be to get myself some better comps at Harrahs? If the poker player comps worth it or is it table games only?

I recommend checking out the rates on the Junior Suites in the Atrium tower. They offer two beds, including a pull out couch bed, and have the ability to section off the rooms. The rates are usually lower for these rooms, however can still be pricy if you have no reduced comp rates. Any holiday room rate will be higher, so you may want to consider the day before or after. They do comp for poker based on tier score, however, the quicker way to accumulate comp points would be slots first followed by table play. There are poker room rates available if you play a minimum of 5 hours, but will probably not qualify for a suite.

Another option you may want to try would be to see if you have friends that also posess a total rewards card. You can then go online and look at room rates utilizing a "companion card" option which may lower your rates depending on their offers. Hope this helps.

THE PINK GAME:

I haven't played this, didn't know it was spread until very recently, thanks to Bravo poker app. How does the game play? Does it go all day/night on the weekend? Is the game full of old tight rocks or so loose I'll lose my mind? I'd like to know your experience in this game and how it plays...

Is it half HE half O8/b, or all O ? Is there a kill?

Thanks.

It is an O/8 Stud/8 mix, with a full kill at $75. The game changes every 30 minutes with the change of dealer.

I've played it many times mid-week but rarely on weekends. Mid-week it has a good mix of tight and loose players. My limited weekend play had pretty much the same thing.

Does anyone know if there is a way to find out if you qualified for next week's free roll without being at the casino?
