Monday through Thursday, if my memory is correct, you get an extra $1 per hour in comps while playing. This does not affect the tier score.

1/2 NL regularly pays $1 per hour, with 2/5 NL and the pink chip game paying $2 per hour. The $1 bonus comp per hour is on top of this.

hey, i'm looking to book a trip to vegas soon. Now I have a TR card and have played poker in harrahs AC a lot just not at all this year. Should I head down play for a bit? Will that give me a better room rate deal for vegas?

My tier score is ~2800. I just booked four nights comped in a Forum Tower Deluxe room at Caesar's Palace. Not sure where you stand, but hopefully it works out for you.

Well I didn't use an offer. I had no existing offer at the times I booked (January 2nd-6th). I just went on reservations while logged in to Total Rewards and checked the rates at that time. They happened to be comped completely.

was staying at harrahs over the weekend and played a session sunday morning session from 3am-11am. if anybody was there i do aplogize i was pretty annoying and drunk, i hand came up where my opponent in a hu spot over turned his hand and i said isn't his hand, there was already about 200 in the pot at this point (if it matters), one of the players said yes, dealer said no and would not call the floor to clarify. couldn't get a hand on a rule book but does anybody know if an exposed hand is considered dead here?

Exposed hands are not ruled dead. The opponent(s) have the advantage of seeing the player's cards and knowing what they are. Repeatedly showing cards could/would earn a penalty.

As far as room offers: Try logging into the Caesars website, then - after logging in - click on "Reservations" at the top. There is a box on the right hand side somewhere that you can click on for "Availability Calanders". Use that.

Then, check the "All Las Vegas" box, select for Las Vegas as your destination, and you'll get the listings for all 8 of the major properties (O'Sheas and Bill's Gambling Hall don't show up here).

Often, this will show comps and/or low rates that you won't find in your offers.

Certainly can't hurt to try it.

Good luck!

I am heading to AC this weekend with some friends. It will be my first time at Harrahs. My question is, if I want to get my own room, do they offer any discounts. I will be at the poker tables for probly 10-12 hours per day... Its just silly that two nights in AC is over $700...

They do. I believe you need 5 hours of play in the poker room to request availability. You can probably ask the floor once you start your ses.

The weekend rates vary. The lowest summer rate (Sat.) I have seen is $119. Rates may be higher later in the season.

thanks for the response. I called them, they do offer the poker rate, but you must already be rated... I have never played there before so they wouldnt do it. I have played at the Tropicana though, so Tropicana gave me a room at the $99 a night poker rate...

yeah, but then you have to stay at the tropicana

Generally, the way it works at Harrahs and other casinos is that you register for the room, and then after playing for a while (5 hours at Harrahs) you get the poker rate.

The problem is, there may not be one available due to the number of people already staying at the hotel.

Frankly, since the Trop is giving you such a good deal - I'ld just stay there. And then play at Harrahs to build up recognition.

Might be too early for an answer, but does anybody know if the pink chip OE game is likely to run during the labor day weekend? I'll be there the 5th, 6th, and 7th.

I have used a Kindle at the tables at Harrahs Resort. The dealers don't want you putting it on any part of the table for fear of nullifying the BBJ.

Considering that it has been running almost every day for months now, I don't see why not.

Played 10:15 a few weeks ago...total of 14 players...almost didn't go off at all. 1:15 could get 3 to 4 tables.

I've seen that you're asking this in several threads. If I can make a recommendation, I think the Trop has the best structure of the daily tournaments. I've played their 11:15am a number of times, and I've cashed 2 or 3 times, even took it down once. I usually play on a Sunday and there are usually 50-65 runners, so I assume it will be less during the week. The structure is slow enough that it doesn't get to be a shovefest after the first hour - they also have a bad beat pool for tournaments, which may never hit but it's nice to know it's there

I'll update the stickies after Labor Day, because everything will probably change then, but just in case anyone is interested, Harrah's current poker rates are:

Sunday through Thursday night: $69 per night.

Friday night: $109.

Saturday night: $189.

I believe that after Labor Day weekend, that the prices drop considerably - I'm told that the Sunday through Thursday night rate is going to be $25 per night.

I'll confirm that soon, and update after Labor Day.
