The blinds are $1 and $2. Otherwise, normal $4 and $8 betting limits. One thing that's nice about it - if one is running card dead for quite a while, the blinds only eat up a small amount of money, $3 per orbit. Most of the players there have no concept of this and play a very loose, but mostly passive, style. Weak. Gotta luv it.

Is there any info on the structure of the upcoming Harrahs AC circuit stop? Particularly, I'm interested in Event 1.

There's a schedule posted, but no info on stack, blinds, levels.

All structures ( blinds / stacks ) are supposed to be the same at all venues, but we will see if that is really true. Check back on WSOP site for updates, Harrah's site just says structures coming soon.

Booked a room at Harrah's for the week of Thanksgiving.

Always enjoy taking a little time for myself to relax, forget about work, play some cards, maybe eat some oysters at McCormick & Schmicks and generally decompress before heading home for the Holiday.

Grinded this game on thurs/fri/sat, needed to make the freeroll hours, and the 2x comps are getting me closer to diamond status, when I didn't think I was going to make it this year.. Lee, you were pretty right on about the style of play there, but, it was also a very fun, easygoing, enjoyable game to play in, especially daytime... May come back in this week to play, and maybe mix in some 1/2 just to try and actually make some $$, as opposed to trying to stay afloat in the 4/8 game (finished the 30 or so hours a small winner)...

Thanks for the help!

I assumed that the structures would be uniform among the WSOPC sites. It would make sense given the recent changes to the Circuit. However, in comparing some of the sites, I seem to remember that the structures were not uniform.

In the past, the AC circuit stops have been a bit light on the starting stacks. Last year, I think the Caesar's stop was a 4,500 stack or something like that for the $340 events.

Was there on Wednesday and Thursday. Most of the players are regulars (retirees). I wasn't happy with some of the actions that go on, but everyone knows everyone, and the dealers go along. I was in a hand with two regulars and had top pair with medium kicker on the flop. First player bets, second raises, I fold, first player calls. In other games I might call, but these guys rarely bet so I figured I was way behind. They joke around about not betting into each other and check it down. Not exactly collusion because the raiser did have me beat, but it felt wrong.

I also had a little trouble adjusting to the 4/8 mini-blind structure and the way everyone played. Partially because I was completely card dead the whole day and didn't get many chances to play my blinds. It's weird being in for 2 and then one raise makes it 6. I think I would deal with it better the next time.

On Thursday I played 2/4 and was winning a bit when they announced that the Bad Beat had hit over at the Showboat. The net-net was that everyone with chips on a table got $542. Sweet!

I found the games to be easier late at night when new (and drunker) blood arrived.

I think it would make sense for them to allow you to register online like you can with the WSOP. At the WSOP you have like 4-6 windows to register, here though you're lucky to get 3 max and given event 1 might have in the neighborhood of 1000 people registering could be a mess, especially since you register in the corner of the room where you play.

For anyone looking to play cash the day of event 1 I recommend not going to Harrah's. Most likely a lot of their cash room will have to be used for the tournament overflow.

1st circuit event isn't until Saturday. They should have the regular $125 -15k deepstack at 8:15 tonight, right?

I think they usually use a different area for the tournament like the meeting halls upstairs.
