Minimum age requirement for the 1-5 stud is 85. They will accept medicare cards as positive ID since nobody at that table has had a drivers license in years.

Once a week they race the electric wheel chairs out on the boardwalk. Prop bets are encouraged, but they ask that you bring exact change in nickels and dimes, so nobody has to go to the Deli to get change.

What's going on at Harrah's these days? I will be staying there this coming Friday and Saturday nights. I hope to play in the tournament series over at the Borgata this weekend. Anyone want to meet up and chill?

Dear Mr Harrah's,

Thanks for raising your Saturday Night poker room rate to $209/night from $109/night for a 2/5 player who was putting in 12 hour days, for a week at a time, saving me $84/night by pushing me back into the Borgata. I had forgotten how great the games and overall experience were at the Borgata.

Stan is hooking me up with the cash game poker room rate at the Borgata next week, and I want to really thank you again for sending me to a superior room and casino. And to think I was less than 500 tier points from Diamond. For the difference in the room rates, I can buy my own buffets...lol. And from the action in the poker room, I can buy my own 500sl. I WILL miss playing with the same 8 locals every day though. But I'll probably get over it.

Did you mean to post this in the Borgata thread?

With respect to Harrah's, 2/5 runs everyday, but sometimes doesn't get started until the evening. This is their biggest regular NLHE game. Biggest LHE game is 4/8 mini bind. HORSE doesn't run at all in AC....Razz is not an approved game. But there are almost never any mixed games at Harrahs.

If this is true its the height of stupidity on Harrah's part.

Believe me, it shocked the hell out of me when I called and it's true. Not the poker room's idea, you can be sure of that. But somebody extra smart, way up the food chain came up with this one without thinking through how this will effect the non-locals. And you can also be sure, I have canceled my 7 day Harrah's trip next week and changed to the Borgata.

I had my reasons for playing at Harrah's the past 6 or 8 months. But it's time to move from the seats in Coach, back up to the luxury of the seats in First Class. And as crazy as it is....for the current time, the First Class seats are less expensive than the seats in Coach. Good ol' Mr Harrah's!!

The Venetien in Vegas and the Borgata in AC are the two best rooms in the country. Management makes a difference. It always does...

First of all, it is not true that if you have a diamond card, the rooms are free....this is almost all based on you ADT, although I think you get automatic comps if you have a 7 Star Card.
And it appears that the hotel rates have recently increased across the board at Harrah's.

I used to get essentially unlimited calendar rate comps on weekdays at Harrah's, with occasional Friday night comps. This stopped as of a couple weeks ago, although it looks like it will return in September (and I can still get weekday comps by entering an offer code).

I don't imagine this is because of mismanagement, but because Harrah's has been relatively successful as of late. If you look at the revenue figures for the spring, Harrah's is the only casino in AC that has substantially increased their revenue over last year. Why should they offer comps to poker players if they can fill up their casino with real gamblers?

Every one of your posts is terrible and your "contributions" to other related threads on this board show that you know nothing about the Harrah's comp system, so please just quit now.

Is 500 tier points only ~ 10 hours? If you don't have the Borgata Black card it might be worth getting Diamond, just to get the Black.

Yes, it is much easier to get a Borgata Black card from by getting Diamond at Harrahs than by actually earning it at Borgata. I'm not sure if you can renew a black card acquired this way, but I will find out next month I guess.

There are plenty of players out there that do DIAD (Diamond in a Day) at Harrah's properties that get no different offers with their new diamond card than they were receiving as a gold card. No weekend comped room offers. Not as many offers during the summer mid-week. Besides free parking, and a seperate line at restaurants, shows, etc., there really is no true benefit to the Diamond card. It is all based on your ADT. It is possible for a gold card player to have a better ADT than a Diamond card player, and will receive better offers. Tier credits are irrelevent other than a count to obtain a certain players card.

here is a dumb question - can you build diamond status by playing at the boat, ballys and Caesars also, or does it only need to be Harrahs? thx.

All Harrah's properties in AC give the same comps (Harrah's, Showboat, Bally's, and Caesars). Harrah's and Caesars are the best about actually giving them to you since you do not need to clock out when you leave.

There's a 50/100 Limit game going on right now in the Harrah's poker room 3 handed. Not sure what the story is behind it though.

Interesting showdown at the 2/5 table the other day:

First player: "I have 10 high."

Second player: "What's your kicker?"

First player had the higher kicker.....

Does anyone know how the structure is for Harrahs Deep Stack tourny today? (Saturdays 1:15) I have not been there in a while and can not remember if the structure was really bad or not. 15k starting chips....but still might not be able to justify it. Thanks.
