Will be staying at Harrah's S-T the 28th-31st. How is the action there on weekdays? I normally play $1/2 and $2/5 NL at Foxwoods and it's definitely slower on weekdays but still no problem finding a good table for the most part.

Is that the case at Harrah's or will I need to head to a different room to play during the day on Monday and Tuesday?

The Borgata is usually the busiest poker room during the weekdays

You won't have much table selection in terms of 2/5 on a weekday. There is usually a game that dies sometime in the early morning, and sometimes there is a must-move. Plenty of 1/2 though.

Appreciate the feedback, sounds like it will be $1/2 for me. Maybe a trip over to Borgata to see if they are spreading $2/5.

Just a heads up. It's Tues afternoon and The Borgata has 8 tables of 2-5 running.

I'm not trying to steer you away from Harrah's at all. Just piggybacking on your comment. If you want 1-2, you're fine at Harrah's. If you want 2-5 and they don't have one running (or you don't like the one table they have running) you'll have plenty of choices next door.

Good luck and enjoy whichever game you end up in.

Just booked me a comped room for a few days of poker during the week, Apr 4-7. If you are going to be there, try to play bad, I need the money.

I'll play 1/2 until I win my first grand. So I should be at 2/5 by 5pm.

Or more likely, I'll lose 400 over the first 30 hours of poker and then leave a 200 dollar winner, since that's what I've done the last 2 trips.

I could end up in a 2/5 game under the right circumstances.

Heading down to Harrah's next week. Two questions.

Does anyone know if they have a bar with embedded video poker that offers comp beers during play (like Borgata)? I was unpleasantly surprised to find out at the Trop that while you sit at their bar and play video poker they are not allowed to comp you drinks, which is kind of stupid since if you play the video poker machines 5 feet behind the bar the waitresses offer free drinks.

Does Harrah's run any Omaha h/l, HORSE, or other limit, not hold em games on a regular basis?

Yes- look for the Poker bar- if you come down escalators from the parking deck it's straight ahead to the right along the wall. You are allowed to smoke, which could be a good or bad thing for you. But there is a bar, w tvs, and video poker machines embedded into the bar. Drinks are free.

No- hardly ever see anything besides 1-2 & 2-5 NL, Stud, and 2-4 & 4-8 Limit Holdem

Thanks, guess I will soak up some beers at the bar and check out their low buy in midnight hold em tourney.

Played there for the last time Wed night and Thurs morning, pretty good action from a few players and made $260 in about 8 hrs. Only encountered one db who complained at the dealer for dealt out his cards slightly to the side, but the table mocked him for an hour afterwards, which was awesome. Planning on going back to play this Thursday night through Friday afternoon. Would love to come across 1-2 PLO just to give it a shot one of these days.

Last time I was there, they were using the large print cards, but said they were switching to regular ones as soon as their supply of large print cards ran out. I had been hearing that same statement for almost two years. Are they still using the large print cards?

Does Harrah's use a poker card, or just your regular Comp card? Are all Harrah's AC properties the same in this regard?
