Certainly, if not more. Here's an modest estimate:

Approx 40 tables x $2 per hand x 20 hands / hr = $1,600 / hr BBJ drop

Before I get depressed over everything Mike, tell me something that favors the players here. Lower requirement for the bad beat, perhaps? Maybe special high-hands that reward all players at a table instead of just the guy with the high hand? When you said drawings, did you mean an opportunity for lots of people to get a cut of $10k or one person randomly gets $10k every Sunday? Any freerolls or perhaps more pot-splashing with tourney entries?

It would be disappointing to know that a portion of the BBJ wasn't making its way back to the players.

Dozier,

All of the money by law, has to be returned to the players. We're trying to give smaller amounts more often. The drawings are for $1000 each hour for 10 hours. Starting the week of the 24th, we'll be doing that on Wednesdays as well along with more money for for High Hands and longer hours. The BB just doesn't seem to be as big a draw as in the past so we're moving towards more frequent winners instead of one person getting a huge lump sum. We are looking at some freerolls but everyone is not a tournament player and a lot of the players don't like the splashing the pots with tournament tickets so we will look at other more creative ways to get the money back to the players. Can't share everything at this time, but I think you'll see more money awarded and more often.

How about giving the winner of each hand $2 or $3?

Not a fan of the $2 jackpot drop, but I'm resigned to it as a fact of life in South Florida. That said, I like this approach with it. Get people in the door and juice up the games. The bad beat jackpot doesn't do it any more, but spreading it out a little bit here and a little bit there with high hand promotions and the like seems to work these days.

Thanks, Mike, for tweaking the Omaha HH promotion and bringing it back this week. The players I've talked with the past couple of days are excited about it, and I'm sure we'll see a lot of Omaha players again this week who we haven't seen since August.

Saw 10/25 PLO/NLHE mix was running until close tonight, full game for most of the night. Great to see all the action with the tournaments, I think they were down to 3 players in the $1600 bounty tourney also.

Mike, just wanted you to know, because it looks brand new, but the Bravo System has an Android app that if you feed into the live reporting, people would have a live list at all times as to whats going on. I'm not from there (although visited your room twice and it is by far one of the best) but I think something you should or have someone look into. Here's a link to the post: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/27...droid-1113154/

I think Isle is a great poker room. Really nice comfortable place. May seem nitty but they have 10 players per table. I don't like more than 9. I really prefer no more than 6. oh and I guess I don't play there because all I really play is 1 on 1. So let me know when they have those husng hyper turbos.

Mike,
I just received a booklet from the Isle, stating starting on October 31, that I will earn between 6-24 points per hour of poker played. What does this correspond to in hourly comps? Not less than the current $1 I hope.

I thought it was 1 point = 1 cent (100 points = $1), but hopefully that is wrong.

The points you earn and redeem will be basically the same. There is a different calculation used to make the points similar to slot points earned. But at the end of the day, no matter how few or many points you are awarded, they should still be equal to almost exactly the same as today.
