Mike, please have someone spreading the word at the 4/8 o8 games! I was there tonight and more than half the table hadn't heard that the PLO8 tournament was going off on Wednesday.

Why is this tourney a pot limit, when the popular regular game is limit? I would have more interest in it if it were a limit tourney.

I think, they (Mike Smith) think that a limit tournament would take too long.

There would probably be less overall interest in a Limit Hold Em tournament then a Pot Limit Hold Em tournament.

I played here for the first time Saturday night and the joint was jumping. There was a wait for 2/5NL but 1/2NL was open seating or a very short wait - is this normal or a result of Black Friday?

I like the room and loved the action & players at my table, but unfortunately could only play for about 2 hours. My only complaint is that I was seated at the back center of the room (IIRC, table 17) and the A/C was horrible. Most of the table was sweating buckets the whole time I was there.

I will definitely return, but Mike - please look into that A/C issue.

Glad you liked it. I'll check into the A/C issue. usually it's too cold.

Is there anywhere that the standard blind structure is posted on your website?

Mike...

Anyone who plays there regularly will tell you that if you sit at the low number tables you freeze......go to the back of the room and you roast...

A simple call to the ac people, and they should be able to "balance" the air ducts to cool the room more efficiently. Might even save the casino some money....

my 2 cents...

While I love the idea of a PLO 8 tourney and was all set to play this afternoon til I realized I am just not good enough to beat a 40% rake! (House fee and dealer add on)

Mike, I have never actually played in a live mtt at the isle, please enlighten me on the 'usual nightly structure'. Thanks!

As much as I like most of the dealers that work at the Isle, I agree with the dealer addon being too high. It is "optional" and you can not take it and wait until you cash to tip. A $10 for 2k in extra chips might be more reasonable.

Thanks Mike Smith for the first Nitty Jay's (named for a floor employee) PLO 8 Tournament. They had 34 runners and paid the top four places. I did not do well, but got to say "pot" a couple of times. See you next Wednesday.

Yes Mike, Thanks for running this. Hopefully this will grow as the word spreads.

Fun to say "Pot" in an MTT!

Any chance of running the blind levels to 30 min instead of 20? We had many levels that did not last for an orbit. Some of the levels lasted 5 hands when the blinds were at awkward numbers and 3 way multi all ins had to be calculated.

Also, can you add in the 500-1k blind level? So easy to calculate "Pot" in multiples of 500 or 1000

Stu, you should play! 20% rake is the only obstacle as $20 dealer addon means that the times you cash, most all of the dealer tip has been paid by non cashing players.

Good luck with that.

imo, you play a split pot game you give up the right to complain that you aren't getting a lot of hands in.
