Could anyone present in the room and e-mail subscribed to this thread let me know if there is a 10/20 or 15/30 limit game going? These floor people really need to start picking up the phone to the poker line.

Thx.

120 person 1/2 list last night around 9-10.

They really need to get rid of all that horse track **** and put poker tables there.

Asked a dealer, and he thinks they will soon, so hopefully.

If it was not for the horse track there would be NO poker room. They make more from the horses then from poker. The room is way too small but not the horse players fault blame Harrah's.

You cant blame harrahs either, they actually tried to get more tables but was restricted by the state of pennsylvania. They have got the ok to expand and will move the room out to the left were the current Hr dept is located. This of course will take awhile to get through all the red tape. I would like to say this was a mistake by PA to resrict there amount of tables , as anyone who has played will agree they are having serious prob managin the 25 tables they already have. getting better every day but could you imagine if they opened with 40 tables?? what a circus that woulda been.

play overall tonight was brutally bad. if i ever cut back on when i go, i will never eliminate saturdays from my play. its just too juicy. that said, i still dropped $200 ... got it all in on the turn with TPTK and a guy hit a 3-outer on me with his AJ. almost rebought to try to take him down, and i would have if it was earlier, but i figured i'd give sunday night a shot later. i hope to get back by 5 p.m. so there isn't as much of a wait.

got there last night around700 pm was 33 people on waiting list walked around the room to see who was there and what games were going and counted 16 empty seats! after about 15 minutes I broke my own rule and sat at a open table(with 2 seats) since the floor was preoccupied getting a new 2-4 game going. I dont recommend list jumping but i couldnt let the floor put me on tilt before i even got a hand. I was called 10 minutes later Agreed the games where super soft. My hands actually held up and i ended up leaving about 1030 with 28 people still on the list. I can appreciate the room trying to accomadate all games and players but i would really like to see them run less limit games and the weekends(friday+sat+sun) There is just to much demand for 1/2 and 2/5 nolimit to justify running 4 tables of 3/6 and 3 tables of 2-4 in a 25 table room. Bad beat was $85,000 and i am sure its close to or over 100,000 today and I excpect it to hit sometime this week because i wount be there All and all the room is improving even thought the quality of play isnt I still here ALOT of players anticipating parx casino poker room so I am curious what is going to happen to harrahs once that opens?

I only play limit. Very occasionally NL. I hope they keep spreading limit games. Someone said it best when they said a great poker room spreads a variety of games. I understand the frustration of NL players, but for gods sakes, 80% of the games are NL. Leave a little something for the limit players.

that is all

+1
Really 1-2 & 2-5 NL are the main games, scrap the 2-4 limit and just have 3-6 Limit. 1.5 hrs+ wait on weekends is getting crazy.

When is Harrah's allowed to expand the room?

And that is how the limit games eventually expire. Now, that's okay for you, obviously, but those of us who prefer limit games don't agree.

I don't want all hold'em, all the time... and the same goes for NL. If the other games aren't available regularly, just because the NL degens are swamping the rooms, then they don't get the exposure to enthrall new converts.

Absurdity tonight. First of all, took me 1 hour 15 mins to get a seat at any table (I was on every list but the 1/2--mistake)...and 2 hours to get into the 10/20 game. And of course lots of empty seats that they just...do...not...fill.

About 5 hours into playing at 10/20, the floor comes over and yanks the bad beat box away...saying the table isn't eligible. Meanwhile, every other time I've been there they've given us the option to opt in or out. Finally they realized that the policy isn't too fair to the other players...since we'd just opt out when it is small and opt in when it is big.

But seriously...just come over and remove the box after we'd been juicing it all night?!?!?! Maybe leave the box and start the new policy the next day...I mean come on.

Floor wanted to give us 30 mins of free time to make up for it...I asked for a whole hour and they said OK...and they actually ended up giving us 1.5 hours free. So they somewhat made up for the ridiculousness.

They said the new policy is that 10/20 is just NOT bad beat eligible, with no choice of opting in. I hope that's right. Of course most of the folks at the table wanted to be in the BBJ. I don't care toooo much, but it just wastes time (and money) breaking up the 5's and filling the whites.

Other issue is that they are just soooooooooo slow at filling the empty seats. We literally had to run up to the desk to get them to fill seats, or they'd just sit empty for an hour.

Yeah, and they're inconsistent. They called a guy a couple spots above me on the list and gave him 10 minutes to respond before moving on. Earlier, a guy got called 3 times in about 30 seconds before they moved on.

Our table yelled repeatedly that we had open seats. I went up to the desk on a bathroom break and told them we had an open seat.

We also had one of the worst dealers I have ever seen in my life. I think we got about 4-5 hands in in half an hour. Had he come back to our table, we were all getting up to take a 30-minute break. Normally, I don't care about slow dealers. I mean, they can still deal me AA, they can still deal a bad beat. But then they got him chips toward the end of his half-hour. Jesus. Just unbelievable how slow he was.

Each hand the table pays $1 for a lottery ticket. Each single hand, every previous hand and every future hand have nothing to do with it.

Played 3/6 last night.

Table had 2 empty seats, 2 people got up to goto eat. We were down to 6.

Told the floor numerous times to call names, they didn't. The Bravo board was right for about an hour but no players called.

Then another guy got up to pee, I said "Well I am going to pee too, if we refuse to play, I guarantee they will call the names."

I go pee, come back, there are 4 people at the table who were 'called' for the two seats LOL.

It sucks for the dealers that we had to go that route by saying we refuse to play until they get players, but it had to be done.

Was anyone there for a crazy hand around 6-7 on Sunday at 2/5 NL? I was sitting to the next table, when all hell broke loose. Apparently a guy mucked a winning hand, thinking he lost, but the dealer pointed out that it was actually a winning hand. Not sure 100% on details, but if someone could fill me in, that would be great.

Don't know all the details, hopefully someone else does. But from what we could gather at the next table, seat 1 or 2 apparently pushed (or maybe dropped) (one of?) his cards face down over the courtesy line, seat 5 or 6 argued that that card was mucked, seat 1 disagreed, but must have folded anyway.

Eventually floor came over and (eventually) ruled that the card was not mucked. But seat 1 folded to seat 5 anyway, or some such.

Ah, so in your opinion there's no problem with us waiting for every other table to build the BBJ over 100k, and then just opting in to buy lottery tickets?

It was mainly the way they handled it. Every time I've been there they've given us the option. Now all of a sudden, middle of a session after we had been paying, they just abruptly decide we aren't in.
