Saw the 1-3-6-12 game on Bravo last night. 4 blind game $1k-5k buy in? I've seen a 3 blind game, never seen a 4 blind game! 2 tables going. I'd imagine some decent action with 4 blinds and deep buy ins.

I played here for the first time in a long while. I liked the original poker room location closer to parking and it had it's own Cashier. Now you have to walk through clouds of cigarette smoke to get to the room. I do like the dealers but the room hardly ever fills. I hope this room survives a 4th casino moving into Philly.

Went there to the new room for the first time last night. I'll go back because I like the dealers but I hated the room.

It's dark and depressing.

And they have a mural on the wall that says. PHILL. No one in Philly writes that. It's like they ran out of space or paint and didn't finish.

2/10 on the room.

I will be in the poker room this Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 5-6pm selling and signing copies of my new book, "FossilMan's Winning Tournament Strategies". After, it would be a lot of fun to start a low-limit dealer's choice game. How about 4-8 limit, when it's your turn pick any game they are allowed to deal, but you can't pick holdem? Who's in for that game? I have spoken to management about the book signing, but not the DC game, but I'd be surprised if they didn't like the idea. Let me know on twitter if you can make it, twitter.com/FossilMan.

See you there!

Cheers, Greg Raymer (FossilMan)

Hi Greg!

I would love to play a $4/8 mixed game. Do you want to start a list Tuesday? I get off work at 4 in NJ so I should get there around the time of the book signing. Will you be able to take electronic payment for the book (PayPal, Squarecash, etc.)?

I'll talk to the manager again, and start a list as early as she permits. I'll be there by 4pm, so it should start by about then, if not before.

I should be able to take PayPal, but since we're in the poker room, I had figured most people would have cash. ;-)

See you there!

Casino open today, poker room isn’t. Chairs stacked in the room from the ones they removed throughout the floor. Don’t expect it open soon!

The gaming commission stated no poker when casinos open, but at least there are just chairs in there and not slot machines like other properties

Seeing rumors that packer room will not be re-opening. Can anyone confirm? Would be a shame.

I wonder what I typed to make auto-correct think I was typing packer and not poker.

On a Facebook poker dealer group I am in, someone I know who deals there said they are not reopening the room.

Not surprising, seems like they have been a third fiddle room to Parx and Sugarhouse for the last few years and would have to face Philly Live opening next year as well.

What happens to any of the promotion /bad beat monies that was collected ?

Not sure if they were raking ; if there is a pot it needs to be distrusted.........

When other casinos closed poker rooms with jackpot money in the coffers they usually kept a table or two open and kept lowering the qualifications to win those funds until they finally were exhausted.

Pretty sure this room had included jackpot $$ with the rake and was only running high hands / min bad beats. There was no advertised bad beat $$ amount. The 2$ promotion $ was going down same drop as rake.

If they didnt segregate it, they probably found a cute loop hole to keep people playing there while they dropped $7...

Is anyone or anywhere not a scumbag in poker??

For historical record. They held a giveaway on Oct 30 where players swipe to enter. Poker games did not run but they gave away the left over BBJ money. Room has announced it is closed with no date or plan to re-open. First "Philly" room to open, first to close after 10 years.
