how many hours are needed to win the weekly hourly promo do you think, especially if you can play at late nights? like 60? 80? 100?

thanks!

Need to recharge my CET comps. Philly is closer than AC for me, so thinking of making the trip a couple of Saturdays from now.

How are the games? I usually play $2/$5 NL. Has the room improved? Bearable for a day?

1/3 has multiple tables every day,and plays like a normal 2/5 game, with 500 max buy in.

1/3 definitely does not play anywhere as big as 2/5. I would also claim that 1/3 is more grinder-heavy than 2 5 imho

Yeah some do and some don't.. definitely lean more towards the don't..except you have a lot of 2/5 players dropping to 1/3 bc they can't fill a reg 2/5 game...obviously not as reg heavy on a Saturday but typically it is

For anyone who reads this thread and still plays there I just wanted to give you a heads-up:

If you are going there and hoping to hit a high hand during the July promotion, be aware that there now has to be $30 (THIRTY) in the pot for your hand to qualify. It was always $20, just like the bad beat.

To be frank I kind of like the change. Gives NL games some fighting chance against 2 4 Limit professionals :-)

That's why it was raised, from what I've heard. When it was $20, most of the high hands where going to the 2/4/6 limit tables.

Also, if you find yourself in a hand that qualifies for high hand, and the pot isn't big enough yet, don't say "I need help" to the other players in the hand. If someone(dealer or floor) hears that and wants to make a big deal of it, it can get your hand DQ'ed. Most dealers won't say anything because they figure they'll probably get a tip from it. You can say something like "spread the pot please" to make it known, just make sure the other players know what you're doing.

That's why they changed it but ... What does Harrah's offer that Sugarhouse doesn't? Limit hold 'em. So why would you antagonize that part of your clientele and give them a reason to go to Sugarhouse?

There should probably be a promotion that is for NL and one that is for LHE.

trying to get opinions on weekday evening tournament start times.i don't play many because they run too late, and I get up early for work.Does anyone think that a 6;00 start time would be better or do most players like the 7:00 pm start time?

I think they were 6 or 6:30pm when they first started having tourneys but many people were arriving very late due to work, home stuff, traffic etc. Monday & Tuesday nights are turbo deepstack tourneys and finish usually around 11pm.

FYI "spread the pot" apparently isn't allowed now either. Big topic of discussion at a 1-2 game Friday.

9/8/16-9/18/16 - Harrah's Chester/Philly - $100k Guarantee ($100+$30)

At 1st i thought this could hit ~$180k before i realized that it is $100+$30 fee instead of ($130 + fee). So a 30% fee is disgusting imo but does anyone frequent this room and have a thought if it still crushes Guarantee? I really have no idea what to expect for all 17 of the day ones! Thanks.

Yes the few of these they've run smashed it. The exception was one where they tried to run 2 different buy in levels simultaneously which essentially split the field.

Yes the vig is ******ed. There's a decent amount of dead money in them tho.

The vig (it is 97+33 after dealer tip) is partially offset by a $10K seat added.

And continuing on that note, I realize $100+$20 does not generate enough casino revenue for the length of the tournament. How about just make it $150+$30 in the future?

Where can we find a list of chip counts for these flights? I checked the website, Twitter and nothing. I have $200,000 heading into next sun and want to see where I am at.

Average should be 220-240k when play resumes on Sunday.
10% of each field goes on so 10x the starting stack.
With a small bump up in avg for the players who successfully fire multiple bullets and have to give up on one (or more) stacks.

But agree, would like to see current listing of players and chip count.
