There was 15-25 people Thursday for the morning tournament, maybe 60-80 for the $50 bounty (absurdly high tournament fee on that one.) At least a few people that had come for the tourney were disenchanted by the low player pool & left or played cash

20k guarantee had about 110 yesterday, ended up chopping 4 ways with chip leader taking about $5900 and the other 3 took around $3100 . Chip leader had about 1.1m & the rest of us had 200-350k.

The other remaining 3 seemed to be strong players/pro - the tables I played at were pretty strong Tables (skill-wise)

Didn't see the turnout for the afternoon yesterday but didn't seem like more than 3/4 max tables based on the available space in the room .

I will try to get some info on the $500 event today, gonna go play some cash games ~ cheers

I see 5-5 PLO8 is running this Sunday night. How is this playing? Big pots and big stacks?

the reason more people dont play tournaments is because it is the worst run room in the area.on thursday and friday afternoon they could not figure out how to run two tournament clocks at the same time,so we played the afternoon tourament without a clock.did not know how many players ,average stack, payouts,or how long to next break, which becomes important in a rebuy event.they rarely start on time(sunday evening started eight minutes late),they almost never start exactly in ten minutes after a break and almost always have only one person(in some cases completly inexperienced) running the event.i play every day but i think del. park is looking better each day.........

Don't see it on Bravo. 1-2 PLO at Delaware Park is running. Guess the Omaha action is there tonight.

I see a 5-10 hold 'em listed on Bravo from time to time. Assuming it really a fixed 5-10 game, can anyone report how it is? How often and when it actually goes?

Thx

when 5-10 limit runs its the older nit regs who realize they cant beat the rake playing all day at 3-6 lol. 5-10nl runs on the weekends sometimes.

So it's a bad game. Seems like there are no good limit games below 15/30 without heading to AC, correct?

If you want to have a good game, any good game, you need to recruit players and organize a game. There's just no incentive to do all that work, other than playing in a good game once or twice a week.

There are a lot of 15-30/ 20-40/ and even 30-60 players in the area. There used to be 3 local private limit games every week for years in this area. The players are here, but who feels like organizing without getting a piece of the rake?

So let me get this straight. You plan on playing a tourney for 8 hours and your complaining about 8 minutes and a few minutes here and there on a color up break. Lol.

The clock thing is deff an issue that needs to be addressed. You obviously play there quite often so something must be right

Can anyone report the number of runners in today's (8/31) 2:00pm deep stack?

How many runners do the midweek(Tue-Thurs) 6:30pm tournaments get on average?

I believe there were about 70 in Fridays 2pm

Weekday tourneys get 30-60 players give or take

Here's the lowdown on the best tournaments:
Tuesday and Thursday night bounties (6.30pm, $85) get between 80 and 120 total entries
Sunday morning ($75) always gets 150+ entries
Sunday night ($75) always gets 100+ entries
Friday 2pm ($225) typically has an overlay due to the guarantee

Of course, weekday 11.30am tournaments have relatively low turnouts for a very obvious reason. Except for a Friday 2pm, which gets some decent players, the rest of the tournaments are extremely soft.

Also, I was playing the freeroll yesterday and the floor was able to run 2 separate clocks for the freeroll and for the 11.30am tournament. So, it seems like they finally figured out how to separate the screens.

There was something wrong that day they couldn't run both clocks. The computer was acting up or our tv's have a mind of its own. Some channels work on some days. There is no rhyme or reason to this. Lol.

Found out today that limit is taking maybe a 1/2 step back to take a 1/2 step forward.

The 3/6 is now 2.5/5 "mini pink" and they think they'll get more 5/10 takers. At least that's what the board lady said.

I assume both games will be 2 chip 4 chip structure. Does no one from PA travel or read? More chips = looser games, more action and draws more players.

Grrrr.

I think your missing the point. The idea is to merge the two games and have a stronger field overall. I don't think you can make 2-4 any looser. Lol

Hmmm. I haven't tried the 2/4 there but the 3/6 is loose and very passive. Not really that much in the pot and getting eaten by the rake.

It certainly isn't juicy or quite frankly that much fun. I miss pots that take two full arm shoves by the dealer....

Welcome to low limit holdem. The rake is hard to beat. Harrahs seems to have an older crowd which does make the came play a little more tame. Esp in daytime.

I kinda like the idea of replacing the 2/4 & 3/6 with 2.5/5. Maybe it will get more 5/10 or 7/5/15 games going.

I'd prefer to see the lowest limit be 4/8, but I understand that casinos might want to offer something that's super-low-limit for folks who just want to feed the rake and/or lose less quickly than they would in the pits.

It makes harrahs unique. And instead of killing the 2-4 game everytime a 3-6 game opens this limit can suit both games. Then the 3-6 game breaks and it's a hassle. It creates problems everyday. This game will take some getting used to but overall it's better. The game will be stronger overall. 7 out of 10 2-4 players are leisure players and only play 2-4.

This is better for the casino and the players.

I just sat down to 5/10 Playing with pink 2.50 chips mostly. So far it's not a nit fest but not full juicy either. Some aggression. 4 to flop. Will give a full report later.
