Any word on when tournaments are scheduled to begin at Chester?

Left my card at home and got a new one. They gave me a free nights stay at harrahs ac
$25 in slots and $10 of food with my new card. Also turned the $25 slot voucher into $125 when I was waiting for my $2/5 table.

Room is surprisingly nice with windows and all. Unusual for a casino.

C'mon, they gave you a place to play where you could go and get a royal flush on your 30th! Happy birthday.

Can anyone tell me what the min and max buy in is for 2/5 NLHE? Also, is there a list for 5/10 NLHE? Thanks.

Haven't even sat at 2/5 so don't know min or max. Been waiting for about 2.5 hours. Should have just sat for 1/2 when I could. Interest for 5/10 nlhe is 7 ppl. But
with all the other games waiting to start I don't think it will materialize.

2-5 has min $100 max $500. Tables soft. Dealers going at an excruciating 10-15 hands/hr.

1-2 nlhe has a 21 man waitlist. Moving decently fast bc lots of people are new or casual players leaving fast. Definitely not more than an hour wait. I think they have 15-17 tables of 1-2 nlhe.

Yah 15 of the 25 tables are 1-2. I know next to nothing about NL but 500 max for 2-5 is unusually short, no?

its 100 BB. that's pretty standard. DP max buyin is 150 BB.

DP has $1000 buy in for 2/5 i believe. and $300 for 1/2

$500 max for 2/5 at chester is pretty bad, if its true.

Borgata's 2/5 is 100 min 500 max (100bb) but the 5/10 is 2000 max (200bb) which leaves more room for play.

Harrah's in AC has 2/4 then 4/8 mini-blind as it's next limit.
It's been awhile since I was there, (like March) but I do believe that the Taj has been running both 2/4 and 3/6 limit games....and as we all know 2/4 is solely no fold em hold em....aka a drinking game for entertainment only.

How much are beers there? I'll be there tommorow after work gouging my eyes out because of the excruciatingly slow pace of play if the dealers are green as has been said.

Looks like all the tables have shufflers. How can it be that slow?

And I'd like an update on the beer situation as well. Can a brother get comped beer or what? Do they even have free beer at any casino in Pennsylvania?

I haven't read the whole thread but I saw a couple people posting directions. If it hasn't been posted yet...

Its very simple if your coming from the north on I-95 (going southbound). Just get off the 9a Essington exit. Take a right at your first light onto 291. Follow this road down until you see signs for Harrahs. It will be on your left. No bad areas to drive through or anything.

Miller is $3. Yuengling is $4.

Out of the 8 or so dealers I've had. Literally all but one were dealing for the first time. Floor was constantly called over. To be fair our card shuffler was broken for an hour.

Just got back. Played 3/6 limit for 6.5 Hours.

When I got there, 3 seats were open. It took 45 minutes to fill then dispite there being a 20 man wait list. I told the floor a few times and he told me "I understand" (What that means I dont know), so I went to the guy who was calling the names and he said "Yes I see it on my screen, here look, the table is in red"

As the afternoon went they got quicker at calling names.

Dealers were not that bad, some were very good. (I know its a lot harder to deal NL than limit).

I ordered a cheeseburger to the table. $10.95, it was horrible. Not even warm when I got it. The fries were cooked in oil that was obviously days old as they had oil pimples all over em. I will not order that again.

Rake is $5, though I don't think I took down more than 5 pots in 6 hours over $50 (2 of which being my last two hands).

All in all I won $81, had a good time and was so happy to be home in 20 minutes.

In the coming weeks they will work out all the kinks I am sure.

Only really really really really bad thing I noticed is when a dealer calls for a chip runner to get chips for them, the chip runner does not give any lamors (spelling?) showing how much they are getting for the dealer. Hypothetically someone could walk in there with clothes similar to a Harrahs uniform on, stand behind a dealer, grab $200 make like they are getting change from the cage and just leave with the money. Longshot I know, but it is possible. Could also get into a "he said she said" argument between the dealer and the chip runner if money is counted incorrectly.

I will be going back as much as possible, I just hope they decide to eliminate the 2/4 game.

might be a silly question, but are sodas, juice, coffee, tea, and water free?

im glad to hear they arent adopting the same chips from harrahs ac...ive gotten used to them over time, but to hear theyre using paulsons is an added bonus imo

They have big jugs of Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sierra Myst and Coffee in the one corner of the poker room for free. No ice dispenser. They are all free. You can also ask the waitress to get you something and tip her $1

Yep they just seemed to be charging for alcohol.

And I concur the chips are awesome.

Another upside is the room, building, and bathrooms were very clean. The eateries seemed decent & modern, didn't have time but the sports bar looked a decent place to grab a quick meal and a beer. There were security guards on bicycles with lights riding around in the parking garage which is a nice touch. There were cameras in the stairwells. Best would be to park on level 2 and head right in the doors there. In driving in you don't seem to go anywhere near the city, you drive only through industrial parks (Boeing and the like).

Sit in seat 1, that way you can see everyone's names at the table since it lists them in the dealer's HUD.
