Glad you mentioned proof of vax. I always have a mask with me, but don't usually carry my vax card around.

The staff noticed something odd and withheld the payout. The state police, who are in charge of LA gaming, investigated and in Feb confirmed the cheat and arrested the two.

Only way I heard about was when I went there in early Feb they were only spreading Omaha. I was told they could not spread holdem until investigation completed. Whether they really could not or just did not want to spread holdem with no bbjp I really don’t know.

The other interesting thing was that before this they spread mostly 4/8 limit holdem with some 4/8 half and half. Since then Omaha or half and half became the main game spread. Seems the locals got used to Omaha and never really went back to holdem.

Interesting stuff.... I actually suck at PLO but I enjoy limit games though I am not as strong at Omaha in general (I think I am a little better at HL) as I am playing stud but I like $5/10 so I will probably drop by. If it sucks I can jump to Harrah's earlier.

One last question: Free alcohol to players?

Well, Boomtown is a bust since it's not even open on Mondays so I played at Harrah's.

I got there at around 1:30 however even though I called in I was third on the list. They took my # and I went about dropping $100 in a slot. I came back and my name was off the list - called ten minutes before evidently. No text. The least they could have done was add me to the top of the list but nope.

I hung out against the wall (the Bravo said WALL next to my name so I felt so special) because I didn't trust them to text me (or the text to work) but I would up being part of a brand new game.

Game was soft but I could never get anything going. The few premiums I got had no action, I didn't hit many flops. I won by targeting two players who were terrible and lost to a short stack with Kings when he didn't have enough chips for me to fold to his shove. I talked quite a big with a local named Mike who was Vietnam vet and a good guy.

I left after about four hours exactly even which has never happened to me before.

I do not think I will be playing any more while I am here, too much other stuff to do, but I like playing there when I am in town.

Hello guys,

Going to be in New Orleans for a few days in March and wanted to ask a couple of questions? Has the Diamond Lounge reopened? And if not, does the casino give drink tickets or something else to Diamond members instead?

Thanks!

I really doubt they are open. This link implies they are not open
https://caesarsrewards.custhelp.com/...unge-locations

NOLA is still under a heavy mandate. Masks are required throughout the casino or indoors most places in NOLA. You also have to be vaxed or have a negative test within 72 hours. Restaurants have similar requirements in NOLA.

So I really doubt lounge is open. I have never got drink tickets but I don’t drink when playing poker. Maybe I missed them. But I believe if you are playing drinks including alcohol are free anyway.

Also I know there is no buffet. Last time I was there they were building something there. I believe even the valet was still closed also.

If you want to go maskless you can go to the smoking patios which are outside so masks not required. But rarely are those table games open. So only slots.

I don’t expect Mayor of NOLA to drop any of these req until after Mardi Gras.

We will also be there in early Mar so will try to update if any of this is out of date or otherwise changed.

I was in NOLA Super Bowl Sunday. What Fore says is true (in fact, there are mask mandates for some outside events, like Mardi Gras parades).

Enforcement is spotty of course. It did seem like most people were respecting the rules.

So is the circuit stop in May officially cancelled?? Haven't seen any formal announcement or anything. It was on the schedule when they released it.

Don’t know either. Will be heading there in few days will try to ask. Not on current schedule online that I see. I expect NOLA COVID restrictions to be lessened soon. My GUESS is Edwards or Mayor will make an announcement next week when Mardi Gras ends. But how relaxed I don’t know. But by May I would guess they old be lifted.

But if NOLA requires all staff to be fully vaxed, which I think they do, and if WSOPc doesn’t have enough vaxed dealers to run the event, maybe that is why off schedule now but not announced. Don’t know how much notice is really needed but maybe it NOLA announces a timeline for lifting, it could pop back on the schedule. I do note there appears to be an international circuit event that butts right up to NOLA original timing. So can dealers meet those travel issues? Do they need to or is it a different dealer pool?

I would imagine it is a mix of traveling circuit dealers and locals. Post on here if you get any word from the casino in person. Appreciate it

no WSOP Circuit b/c of casino renovations for a rebrand from Harrahdise Nola > Caesars Nola. Cardroom will be moving to Masquerade Nightclub for at least a few months.

Not sure if the pandemic/other factors played a role, but this is what I've heard unofficially

Is the 1/3 NL match the stack?

Pretty sure it is. I know I had no issue buying in for $1000 last week. But stack still had me covered.

Found a pretty darn good 5 day tues-sun trip with southwest vacations which puts me in warehouse district. Has anyone been playing enough recently to tell me how games have been recently? Was there for wsop 19 and thought they were mediocre but would love to go back to the city again and see things I didn't see last time.

Thanks

The cash games are pretty good in my experience - usually end up fairly deepstack and loose for 1/3. THey also have Monday and Wednesday tourneys that get 50-80 players depending on the day. 3-6 cash tables going on week nights, more on weekends. The current "poker room" is actually just a roped off section near the masquerade room while they renovate the area that used to be the poker room. Still one of my favorite places to play in the south.

When are renovations due to complete? Know if they are major or not so much?

I know PokerGras will be returning in September, I was told they would be done by then. It sounds like its kind of a sportsbook/poker room combined that they have in mind. Should be a cool area.

Overall it is a $325+M upgrade including rebranding to “Ceasars’s NOLA” and a new hotel. But I believe the poker room is small part of the project. Poker Gras late Sept.

interesting pic. Looks nice compared to what it was. Be interesting to see how close to this they come.

But really, take a look at the Bravo image. Please have someone with a clue create the images.

Games of 3/6 HE, 4/8 HE, 4/8NL and 5/10NL (at least that is how I read them.) None of those are regular games at NOLA (and only a couple make sense to show on an image.)

Plus, Bravo showing 5 break tables when appears only 3 games running (and maybe 4 in the pictures). There could be another screen of games, but what rooms list the break tables on Bravo streamer anyway?
