I've never seen a half and half game but if it's there, it's probably LHE/Limit omaha hi.

PLO sometimes on the weekends, but it's uncommon outside of tournament series.

15/30 omaha hi is the juiciest game in the casino. Some people short stack. others have a couple thousand in front of them. Tons of action.

Mostly you're going to see 1/3 holdem. The games are generally pretty soft and they play bigger b/c they let you buy in up to the biggest stack.

Went back a few pages didn’t see anything..what are the current comps and tier credits for 1/3 and 2/5? (And where can the comps be used etc?)

Thanks

I think you get 17 or 18 TCs per hour. It's ridiculously low, whatever it is. Same goes for the RCs, it's like a quarter an hour or something. Plus most of the restaurants charge double RCs ($1.00 = 200 RCs).

The only benefit poker really gets you is 30 minutes of play = free parking

Well my leave got approved so I'm 100% gonna be there Patty day weekend. Will have a group 6 deep that plays so I'll probably try to start a 1/3 half half game. Im still unsure if I'm gonna play the 15/30 game. We're see.

Come say hi...or buy me a drink. I'll be the drunk guy. Bottle opener as a card protector.

Just blew into town and playing 6pm $130 tourney at table 17 seat...10.

I went online total rewards and got the king for $91 bucks and asked for 2 queens when I checked in. Front desk took great care of me and saved me $50.
With family but just put down 1 on res.

Will update after tourney...

On weekends, is there a game that usually runs overnight? Flying out on NOLA on a Sunday at 6am and hoping to just play poker overnight Saturday until my flight.

Who's going? What you plan on playing? Nola always seems to get pretty decent action on the cash games as well as the circuit events

Question for those that have played the main event as well- how does the skill level compare in the $365 events versus the $1675 main event. Are there lots of recs that have satted in or is the main a pretty pro grinder-heavy event?

Looking forward to being there and hopping in as many events as I can!!

The $365 events are going to be amazing value. The casino has been giving away three seats per day every mon-thurs all month out of their jackpot fund. These seats are mainly going to 4/8 LHE and 1/3 NLHE players who are drawing dead against the field. You should try to play as many of them as you can -- the winners of those drawings get to choose which $365 event to enter, there are quite a few of them on the schedule.

This is topped off by the fact that the locals here are very weak tournament players and love playing them. The casino recently started spreading $1xx buyin tourneys a few times a week and they get quite a few players.

Guilty as charged. There’s also been a Sunday $80 satty that pays out only WSOP Circuit seats. should be a fun time.

Going to be in town for a friend's bachelor party this weekend. Been sporadically checking Bravo and haven't seen much 2/5 running, is that a game that still gets any traction? What is the max buy-in for that?

Only seen 1/3NL, 4/8 Limit and 15/30 Limit Omaha Hi when I've been checking. We might just have to be content to take each others' money at 1/3.

The 1/3 there tends to play very deep and open raises are pretty large. If you are used to 2/5 with a $1k max BI or less, you should feel right at home.

Ill confirm that. Most raise sizes are more like a 2/5 game. Its a very loose game the times Ive been there and its the softest game Ive played in anywhere.

Be down in new orleans in a couple months, I see that there are 2 15/30 Omaha Hi limit games going. Does this go every day? What bout any plo games?

We've been getting a 1/2 PLO game sporadically, maybe once a week around noon. It only runs for four or five hours. There's a regular game that I think runs on Wednesday nights (Maybe Thursday? I can't remember) but it plays pretty big.

The 15/30 omaha game runs in the mornings twice a week, I can't remember the days off the top of my head but they start at 8 or 9. You have to get there early. It is very popular within the player pool of like the 15 or so people that play. It's a scheduled game that runs regularly. You can call the poker room and they'll tell you when to show up.

Played about 10 hours of poker this Friday/Saturday night at Harrahs. 1/3 and 2/5. Seemed to be majority of locals/regulars, and the games were insane action. 2/5 specifically was playing absurdly deep, average stack over 2k and so splashy. I got felted for my entire BI on Friday at 2/5 (1k), but managed to spin $300 into $1,400 Saturday at 1/3.

Are the games always this action packed? While it was late night, midnight-4am, the regulars weren’t really drinking much and they just all seemed to be LAG. Is this normal here?

Never played 2-5 there. But the 1-3 does not normally play super deep. But deep enough. Imo the refs there are either very LAG or nut peddlers. And often more of the latter. Some will make a show to appear a LAG but if you observe closely the show does not last.

I have a very small sample size of about five 1/3 NLHE sessions there, but the other players at my table always seem to be incredibly pleasant and fun people who are bad at poker. Additionally, the cocktail waitresses do a great job most of the time. So it's pretty much the ideal room for me. The only problem is it's in NOLA, so there's lots of great stuff to do other than sitting in a poker room.

I tend to get my sessions in when I'm on a trip with people who go to bed earlier than me and I sneak a few hours in late-night.

I agree with all of the above. Almost all of the regulars were talkative and friendly, those that weren't were unsurprisingly more of the nitty types. My first time to NOLA, absolutely fantastic city. Can't wait to visit again. This room will give me a good excuse to do so.

Rolling on in 3/5/19 - 3/12/19

Should be pretty solid adventure especially with mardi gras

Hopefully I can run up some stacks.

Is the 15/30 omaha pot limit or limit?

I would like to get a PLO going but I don't like playing anything bigger than 5/5
