Don't get me wrong, it's great for tourists and people coming in for a few days. But if you're looking for good promos, comps, etc., as a reg, don't hold your breath.
Yeah I mean it was crazy, just nobody seemed to give a **** about anything. I guess when the games sell themselves, management feels they don't have to do anything. Not the way I would do it, but to each their own I suppose.

What's the rake like at 2/5? I heard there's a drop AND a timed rake of $6 every half hour? If so, that's pretty insane. That would be like taking $12 off your hourly for no good reason at all. I hope that's not the case.

Also, what kind of "comps" does a player get there with a Total Rewards card?

I played the 2/5 game back in March and they raked the pot.

Also, I'm curious as to what the average hourly is at 1-3?

They raked the pot and took time? I'd be curious to know what the 2/5 games are like, and hourly if anyone is willing to divulge. They seemed pretty reggy, as you would expect, but I didn't play long at all.

All they did was rake the pot. No time.

I've only played in the 2/5 game once but everyone was putting out the MS straddle so it played big.

If I had to guess I'd say a solid player probably makes at least 50 an hour.

This place been getting any games bigger than 2/5 recently?

In town for a while in a few weeks and so will be up for any 5/10+ games!!

I haven't seen anything bigger than 2-5 nlhe, but as mentioned above it plays bigger due to the ms straddle. I haven't played the 2-5 yet, but I believe rake is the same as 1-3, 10% up to $5 +$2BBJ drop.

I have noticed a big PLO game running most Fridays and/or saturdays, I've seen 15-30 and 25-50 (it's either/or, only 1 PLO table runs at a time).

That 15/30 is actually a limit game, but be ready to gamble. The 25/50 or 5/10/25 omaha game is plo, though.

Anyone have experience wiring money over to this casino for poker?

Also, anyone know if this casino will hold deposits for players playing poker? What about cashing out, will they write a cheque? I tried to ring but the lady at the cash desk had a hard time understanding my accent.

Feedback appreciated!

You could try emailing your question to this address:

nortotalservice@harrahs.com

I've used it a couple times for various issues. If not, Twitter may get their attention.

Alternating rounds of Limit Omaha and Limit Hold' Em. The blinds are 2 and 4. Preflop the bet size is 4. After the flop it is 8. On the turn and river it is 12. This is one of my favorite games in NOLA.

Staying near the casino, on vacation for 5 days.

Never been before.

Here's my 2c.

Getting a players card was v straghtforward, but, after 15 hrs of play, I have no points, so, not really sure why I bothered, apart from verification for jackpots.

Played $1, 3, and normally joined game about 6pm. Would buy in for $300 .. Thou u can buyin for as much as chip leader. Towards midnight, regs with $1000+ would sit in, lookin t target unknowns.

3 nights in .. Won, $120, $225, and $1455.

Last night, got involved in 3 $800+ pots .. And it was good EV every time. Some v bad tourists, who pay off, and unimaginative regs, at least early on. The calibre def got betteras the stacks rose.

Often, a local would win a decent pot and leave.

But, it's a friendly game. Dealers were good. Bar service / drinks were free, and just tipped $1, which seemed the norm.

For even an average thinking player, u would have to be favourite.

Will try write a better trip report of the key hands, but only have iPad now.

Last Friday night, somebody big games were in action. Maybe as many as 25 tables going ..had a short walk to my hotel, only carrying$2500, but at mid-night, it felt safe, and was.

Forgot to say, orange juice, or similar at Starbucks in the joint, was $8.59 or something ... Wtf !!!

In general, prices in USA for food, are insanely high .. But, suppose it just reflects local economy.

Just fyi players card points take a day or two to show up. I think it's around 7 points per hour, not great but it's something.

You must be hanging around lots of touristy places with captive markets. Next time, walk a block up or two up canal and buy yourself a bottle of OJ for $1.19.

Went to movies at canal walk - same oj $3 cheaper - still $5.

Was winning $500 on last day, so played in $2,$5 for a bit. Some big gamble
At the table - but saw AA beat KK / QQ 3 times in 40 mins.

Unfortunately one was mine - had KK pre - off to Orlando tomorrow to see Harry Potter.

Anyone interested in trying to start a game on a certain day? I'm flexible on days and times.
