Yeah I've got a weird hobby of playing in new casinos and chip collecting, so that's why I'm going to check out Biloxi, etc. Majority of my trip is still going to be in New Orleans though.

Yeah action is great in New Orleans. I haven't played in LC, though I hear it's good on weekends (people from Texas driving to play). BR can be slow. The Beau in Biloxi has a real nice room that's well run. Haven't played at any other places there. Good luck buddy, enjoy the city, and eat!

Good to see you made it down here. Your chip-collecting thread is incredible.

In Lake Charles, The L'auberge is very nice (2/5 only), The Isle is dingy. Both have good action.

Baton Rouge's new casino (can't remember the name) is very nice. When you hit Biloxi go to the Beau and the IP.

Thanks for the advice. Gonna try to get to BR on a Friday night to ensure I get in action. As for eating, I'll def have that covered - I'm a huge seafood fan, been craving some good gumbo for days!

Thanks man, much appreciated. Wish I was around to buy you a beer. Where are you heading after this leg of your travels? Any chance you'll be out West?

Just doing the short trip to this area, going home to make sure I finish up my 200k VPPs online. I think ill be setting up shop in Bangkok for a few months starting January, and who knows after that.

Played about 8 hours at Harrah's today, finished up some. Games were as good as advertised, and I managed to restrain myself from spewing too much after a pretty awesome first night in town. Didn't get back in until 6am last night. New Orleans definitely meeting/exceeding all expectations so far!

Will probably play 5pm today and Wednesday noon.
5k stack is pretty lame, but im still probably gonna play the 5pms after work. Gl to anyone playing the series. Hoping they can get 75-100 people for the 200s but that's probably wishful thinking.

Got 44 total entries yesterday. It was Monday, so maybe it'll improve over the week, but it also has been so poorly advertised. They converted yesterday's $250+100 WSOP satellite (12k chips/20-30-40m) to a normal tourney instead of a ticket tourney, so I might play that today.

x-post from mttc-live

Can someone who is there today post a pic of the structure sheet for the 580 tomorrow? If not a pic, at least the info about how many levels are played on day 1 and the lengths of the levels?

Also any numbers available for yesterdays 365?

Starts at 10am Monday, so I hope you're pulling an all-nighter! Taxi is probably the best option, unless you know someone in the area. I don't think Uber is available yet in the city (just Uber Black I believe, could be wrong).

I have mixed feelings on the Mississippi straddle being introduced. Overall, not a huge fan of it. Just another adjustment to make.

I wish the room would focus on doing worthwhile promotions, getting better chairs, fighting for better comps, getting some sort of table-side food service. There are so many more important things that can be done. With the change from 1/2 to 1/3, and now the added Mississippi straddle, it feels like they're trying too hard to emulate the Beau in Biloxi in terms of how their games are run, when in reality, they should emulate the Beau's excellent poker room customer service.

Two questions:

1. What's the max buy-in at 1/3NL?
2. What is the rake at 1/3 NL?

Thanks to anyone who knows!

Max in 1/3 is you can match biggest stack at the table.
They take $2 for jackpot and promotions. I think $5 Max rake.
Great game there this past weekend!

For Mardi Gras you recommend Harrahs or Biloxi? Just wondering if the Harahhs in NO will be a cluster. I know the games will be great, just wondering if say the Beau will have similar action with shorter lists. Any info would be appreciated
