rooms at casino during WSOP:

Looking for a WSOP hotel deal? Call 1-800-CAESARS and mention CHEPOKER for hotel rates starting as low as $46. http://******/gTKi5

Thanks Red.

I just called and locked down my room for the Circuit Event with that code. I didnt get quite as low a rate but it was much better than anything I found on the website. Weekend nights were a bit more. Plus I dont play pit games very often so only the basic Total Reward status for me.

So excited for this tourmanment. WSOP Circuit event in NC... who would of thunk it !

Tell all your friends.

I'm glad to see a schedule. I will definitely be making it out for this. I feel like the juice is a little high though. Is it normal for wsopc events?

They standardized all of them this year, so the vig is the same no matter what stop.

Finally in NC. I plan on being there the whole series and was wondering if there is an overall champion for the Cherokee series? I plan on playing as many events as possible.

Frontier has very very strong water pressure and mediocre wife depending on how close u are to off e. i recommend staying there. super close too. u should not have any issues with safety either. I've done it several times.

Does anyone know of any cheaper way to get a room for Saturday night April 6th for decent price? I called and gave the offer code mentioned here and first they told me only Sunday - Thursday was open and I could get those days for free. Then I gave the offer code to them and they gave me Friday night for free but Saturday night was $279 plus taxes which is ridiculous. I also had to give them 2 reward card numbers to even get the Friday night for free but she said Saturday night was no discount at all.

Try a different hotel. For somethng basic (but clean), I would recommend Priceline Express (www.priceline.com).

For a nicer place try Marriott Fairfield Inn, which is actually closer to the Poker room (and Event Center for WSOP-C) than most Harrah's Cherokee Rooms.

Days Inn is directly accross the street and obv well known chain. I also reccomend frontier motor lodge. Either once will be good value on the money. Also if you are in good standing with the casino sometimes they will give you a complimentary stay offsite a couple of miles down the road at another decent place. Sometimes its best to call the 1-877-HARRAHS phone number and make the request via call.

That is expensive, but cheaper than the rack rate. When I log out and look at the rooms it gives me $429 for that Saturday. I'm showing all dates available still and also all comped for the entire month. It's just typical weekend at the casino. They block out rooms for the slot players and hope they show up and at cherokeee they always do. No other casino around for 300+ miles.

Your only option for getting a room at the hotel is finding someone to partner with you and use both cards. Preferably a slot/table game player with a high ADT. I see you did that for friday already. The only catch is both players have to be present to check in and they enforce this strictly at Cherokee.

You can just take a chance. If people don't show up/cancel they release rooms around 8-830pm. I've picked them up that way but don't really recommend this.

Call back and ask if they will put you at an area hotel. They have done this for me before at a reduced rate(20-30) and most times for free.

Other options are Microtel $71
Baymont $71
Days Inn $63

If you don't mind a 10 mile drive (very curvy) you can knock another $20 off those rates by staying in Maggie Valley. Those prices are 20/30% off. PM me and i can give you my corporate code for discounts.

You can always sleep in the parking garage. It sucks but I have done it before.

Also, the max number of days comped in a row is four. Have to check out for a day, then get four more. So I'll be staying at an area hotel myself, if I stay the entire time. Only got the both fri-mon at the beginning and end of the week.

Weather in Cherokee on Friday Jan 25th, 2013 (tommorow) is calling for wintery mix (some ice/snow mix) so there might some no-shows Friday night at the Casino Hotel. I was thinking of driving up Friday night but nixed that idea due to weather.

Does anyone know what the roads are like up in that area? I'm thinking about heading up there today but don't really want to be driving on steep windy roads if they're gonna be icy. I'd be leaving from Charlotte.

The roads should be fine. All roads are open, and I've heard no reports of icy conditions anywhere in the area.

I might be completely off-base, but I would call the hotel and ask them about that, and whether a fishing license is required.

Wouldn't be surprised. I have seen a PLO table on a Sunday about noon with two of the players having over $2K chip stacks.

It was a crazy game. I got there Sunday around 12ish. One player had a little over 5k. When I left he had 13k. It was an insane game. I hit and ran for a little bit.
