For games that are configured to allow straddle (thats up to the casino), there is an auto-straddle box in your OPTIONS screen. Just go there, click that box and you will be in straddle heaven.
I didn't think there was, but I'll look again next time I go. As it is now, it asks you if you want to straddle if you're UTG and gives you a few seconds to decide. I do know that there is an option to check so that it doesn't ask you that (essentially an auto no-straddle button) but I don't remember seeing an auto straddle on button.

My understanding is that there will be vote in June to allow alchohol at the Casino. It is expected to pass. If it does, I'll toast to it with a cold frosty one.

The Cherokees have voted this down in a landslide over and over.....

My understanding is that the last referendum on this was in 1992, so there really isn't much in the way of recent history to base this on.

A local at the tables said its expected to pass, for whatever that's worth.

The Casino revenue dividend checks to each member of the tribe are expected to be down this year (and come out the same week as the vote) , I wouldn't be surprised if that has some influence on the vote.

Cherokees voting to give the white man fire water to get more money from him. Such delicious irony! It's good for me as a poker player who rarely drinks alcohol, and I don't usually side with those who wish to impose their own moral code on others.

This may have been the last time the tribe got to vote on it as a whole but their council has shot it down quite a few times since then. I believe it has come up every year since about 2002.

Ah, I see. The local who seemed to think it would pass said exactly that, that it would pass because the council would leave the vote up to the members this time.

The story that I heard at the tables was that the council voted and approved it previously but it was then vetoed by the chief. Who knows?

The floor person even said if approved he didn't think it would be available on the "casino floor" (just restaurants).

Actually now that I think about there is only an option to never straddle, not to always straddle

Jason,

you have me second guessing myself now and I think you are correct.

I think I got auto-straddle mixed up with auto-chop. I am confirming.

One of things I love about 2+2 is you all bring this stuff up. If in fact there is no auto-straddle option, then there should be. This suggestion will be added to our list of player requested features.

Jason has it right. Lou had it wrong.

auto-straddle checkbox is a good feature to add to options screen.

How do software updates work? Are they frequent?

+1 to auto-straddle. When it asks me to straddle it takes a few seconds to "unlock" my cards. Is that intended, or just lag?

A t-shirt with my picture on it and the caption, " I know more about PokerPro than this dude" ?

PM your address and I'll send you some PokerPro swag for stumping the expert.

Intended, but I think we made it too long.

Updates on PokerPro are not like updates from online poker, that seem to happen every week. We go through pretty substantial third-party testing by various testing labs. So it is a much more complicated process. Given that, we target about 2 major releases a year.

As new ideas come in they get queued up, priortized, and put in the next release. So as much as I would like to take a new idea and "get it out in the field", it just doesnt work like that in B&M casino space.

Our next major release due out later this year, will be focused on improvements to Multi-Table tournaments and a few other odds and ends.

Hey Lou:

On the next update, see if you can configure comps. That is the biggest request that I hear at the tables. Harrah's people always say it is a PokerPro issue. I am not sure who is at "fault", but it seems like this would not be a difficult issue to resolve since the tables already count the session time. Most rooms comp by time anyway. Do the tables at Excalibur pay comps?

Anything new on developing 10 man tables for the "home" market?

A dry casino?!! OH NO!

I go to Asheville, NC two or three times a year but I've never checked out Harrahs at Cherokee. I'll have to go check it out next time I'm there.

Yea, its real easy when you flop a set of kings...

I have also made some great laydowns lately too. Last week, I folded a set of 3's on the flop betting....I just knew I was beat...Sure enough, there was a set of sixes out there.....

I'm suppossed to lose my stack there, but as Hellmuth says "I dodge bullets!!"

This is still sort of on PokerTek. Its a complicated issue having to do with integration of player tracking systems. So, don't be mad at Harrahs Cherokee.

Nothing new on home version. plan for us all along was and still is three business segements...

1) Casinos with PokerPro
2) Heads Up Challenge for amusement in bars
3) Home market.

We still have our hands full with first two, but pretty clear path how to launch the 3rd when the time is right.

ahhhh cold decking someone vs sucking out on the river. not really sure which one I like best. If villian is a friendly player, then prob prefer cold deck. If villian is obnoxious, cocky then I love a good suck out on the river for his whole stack

nice laydown with the set, Guitar. lots of newbie players dont understand how much money they MAKE with smart laydowns.

Very True. More legal poker rooms in NC will probably happen about the same day that hell freezes over.
