nah i definitely see the difference and i never ask to see ppls hands live...but it is a habit from playing online to open up the HH replayer and look at the hands you get called by haha

so if i go to showdown and i win and the other player doesnt show their hand, is there an option for me to make them show their hand? or since the table can spot collusion/cheating then its not part of the rules?

No such option. Just like on a manual table, on PokerPro it is player option only to show one player / show all players, or muck.. you can show high card, low card, or both.

So put another way, the PokerPro rule on show one card/show both is you can show one card if you want to.

Also, winning hands, and hand that had last agressive action are always shown no matter what. If winner is also last agressive then only one hand has to be shown.

PokerPro rule on IWTSTH is... sorry you can't. You are correct since colluders can be ID'd another way on PokerPro, there is no logical reason for that rule to exist. It only leads to pissed off people and fights.

makes sense. but why does it flip the hands up "tournament style" when players are AI? if the table can detect collusion then this doesnt seem necessary. obv you should have the option to turn the hand up...just curious about the logic there

Get there early. Place was a zoo last Sat. They had a table ready to go for O8, but not enough players to go. all the 1/2NL, 2/5NL and 3/6 Limit you want though.

PLO did run for a few hours last Friday night.

Have fun up there.

Its still rediculous that they dont have live games. At the end of the day, these poker pro tables are just glorified video poker where you can see your opponent. You can get a little bit of a read off someone, but its not like playing with real cards. No chips to fidget with, or doing other antics possible with real chips. And again, I dont know any real casino or card room where these things have actually been successful except places like this that seem to have a law against a human dealing cards (wtf!)...

Next time I visit up there, I will check out the casino, apparently it is alot different now than it was the last time I visited

I-40 West was closed today; understand it may be closed for about ten days.

I'm 50, and it's only the second time in my life that I've seen an interstate closed.

Was going uo to hopefully play some PLO8, but didn't want the hassle of a different route.

Bo

ouch... thats painful.

Does this effect westbound route to Casino from NC on I-40, east bound from TN, or both.

Not sure; I drive up from SC, I-26, I-40, 74, 441. (2 hrs)

They had signs about 40-45 miles out, on I-26, informing us that I-40 West was out, "bridge const."

Bo,

this from NCDOT

http://www.ncdot.org/traffictravel/

closing is west of NC border. I can't remember if the exit for Harrahs is in NC or past the border and in TN.

If its in NC, then bad for people coming from your direction.

If it is in TN, then bad for people coming the other way.

Sorry if it is already addressed, but I have never played on one of these tables. How do you see your holecards?

Bummer, the PLO8 table didn't make on Saturday. Got there about 3:20, played 1/2 NLHE til Midnight. The floor guy got me upset about 9pm by trashing the Omaha list, which had gotten up to 10 people, but not before NLHE got to 20. I may try again next Friday, I'll probably call first, maybe even call Thursday to see if there is an interest list or table.

Im thinking about going tomorrow and coming from I-85 (upstate SC). Ive been there before but always used the GPS. Any roads I need to avoid since I read u guys talking about interstate closures.

Also, plenty of games running Monday afternoon for 1/2NL or 2/5NL?

I think I played with you on the back 1/2 table, I was wearing a Gold Strike hat.

From the floorperson's perspective, I don't know how they could start a 1/2 PLO8 table? All the tables were filled up and the waiting list is pretty deep on the weekend nights. Unless the game gets started earlier in the day or evening , how could they start one? Even if you have 10 people interested, what are you going to do?

To be fair, I don't think he couild have easily started one either. Finding out that your entire interest list is playing NLHE right now and rearranging tables is certainly above the expected level of customer service, not that it wouldn't be appreciated. And I believe him when he said that some of the people on the list had left. Still I expect the fairness of leaving the list going in case a table does break, and the list happens to be longer at that moment. We've got enough of an uphill struggle trying to establish our game without battling implicit favoritism, even when favoritism may be slightly more convenient.

You had a nice run going there, seems like you got a little card dead toward the end.

What's your guitar style? I don't play, but I'm a huge music fan, jazz and rock both.

More of a rock based player. Les Paul, Marshall Amp...Jimmy Page, Slash, little Eddie Van Halen thrown in....

I did get card dead there for a while. However, flopping 4 kings, and the opponent hitting the gutshot on the turn, and saying "Ohh, my God" over and over as he is walking out of the casino because he didnt know what had hit him...priceless.

p.s. I did know the guy too, played with him at a game before Harrah's opened. Good guy, but poker is war.

I played on Saturday - got on the tables about 4:30 pm played to about 6am, with a thirty minute break for the prime rib buffet with a free voucher I got in the mail.

I've been up four times on Fridays, but this was my first Saturday foray and the table I was on was generally better than the one's I've been on on Fridays. Bigger average pot sizes, fewer decent players, tons of straddling, and much more chatty. Too small a sample size to say Saturday's are better than Fridays, but it was nice.

Oh, Lou, we had a request from one of the players for an auto-straddle option, since he was going to straddle every chance he got ...

Also, since you said on April 17th, that getting comps was a technical hold-up on your end not because of Cherokee's decision not to have them, I expected to see that you'd programmed in comps by now ... get off your butts, willya?

Straddle On at Harrahs Cherokee ! I love it.

For games that are configured to allow straddle (thats up to the casino), there is an auto-straddle box in your OPTIONS screen. Just go there, click that box and you will be in straddle heaven.

10-4. There has been progress. Let me get an update from the team and see where we are with this issue.
