Yes, some of the regs are "turrible"...others, not so much. It all depends on whether they are weak-tight, weak-aggressive, or play a pretty solid game - which I have seen all of the above.
I play pretty regularly on the weekends in the 1/2NL game, and have witnessed both good and bad play from some regs.
Perfect example on Sat night: 1 reg vs. an unknown. Reg has JJ in SB, Unknown in BB checks A7o in a limped pot (I folded my trash on the button)
Flop comes J77. SB checks his J's full, BB bets 3/4 pot, SB raises 3x. While BB goes into the tank, SB tells him outright "you need quad 77's to win" - BB folds, both show. Horrible move by the reg...he could have certainly stacked the BB who I think would have a hard time folding his trip 7's.
Yes, there are a lot of regs playing, but if you are observant, you can weed out the solid players from the nits and donks and play accordingly.
