Yeah sigh.. after waiting an hour+ and moving to 19/30 on the list, I just gave up and called it an earlier night. Poker room is def over whelmed and under staffed. Bummer but hopefully it will end up in staff realizing the problems and fix them soon

Packed packed packed. Everyone doing best they can - no complaints at All. Shipped my first SNG on the PP table so happy with the start - like the electronic tables.

Everyone, thanks for your patience. We've been overwhelmed, both literally and figuratively, by the support everyone has shown for this event. Hopefully we can evolve quickly in order to better serve you guys.

Oh, and if you get a chance, thank a dealer. Those guys are working long, long hours to keep these games going.

Gradititude for a doing a "job" is compensation. Hopefully the dealers expected a large turnout and viewed this as a chance to make some dough. Maybe your eyes are now open to the potential this room has, especailly with proper planning and marketing.
Anthony, you have a legal monopoly that has been granted to you by the people of NC, so please listen to your customers in the future. A large guarantee monthly, or every other month, will insure a large cash game player pool on the weekends, starting on Thurs. Dump the Pokerpro bingo machines so your dealers can make money on more than 1 weekend a year.
Good luck the rest of the series, as it appears all WSOPC attendence records are going to be smashed.

I agree with this 1000%. I really, really would prefer to play in Cherokee over going to Tunica or Biloxi or Florida due to it only being a 2 hour drive away and the juicy games. Anthony kudos to you and staff for at least recognizing the potential your room has and I hope to see poker in Cherokee to evolve into something that gives players a real reason to come.

I'd like to also add to remember that alot of poker players bring girlfriends/wives/whatever with them to play slots, shop, eat at the casino restaurants, etc. Cherokee needs to tap into this market!

Roger, do you even play poker? Seems like you are trying to be the next Kevmath.

Only you do it in a douchey know it all kind of way.

Everybody is impressed with your Harrahs Cherokee knowledge at this point.

Now pipe down and go play some poker.

Sigh.

Big +1 to running more series' here. Slap some guarantees on tournaments and you will have the same kind of turnout. Hoping for good things in the futue here at cherokee. The casino is top notch, did not expect it to be this nice.

I was just asking, because having been to other Casinos in the South/Southeast, the food is pretty good at Cherokee. Obviously not the same as the best and biggest casinos in Las Vegas, but compared to Hard Rock Casinos in FL, or most other Harrah's Casinos, Cherokee is better IMO. I was thinking that maybe the poster had never eaten in the Ruth Chris steak house or at Brio? I was just asking for clarification.

I think the restaurants at Cherokee at quite good for the casino size, so I was just asking. Maybe he has never been there?

No, I have nothing to do with PokerPro, other than as a player at Cherokee. If I post something that is not accurate, please let us know.

If you are willing to stay a little ways away from the casino you can find cheap rooms. The major hotel chains have a few places within a few miles of the casino. The holiday inn and Fairfield are within easy walking distance.

Most of the hotels are decent but of course ymmv.

You simply misunderstood what he was saying. His point was that not only would they benefit by some of the improvements the previous poster noted, but also by the fact that some bring their partners who in turn also pipe money into the casino.
