Does anyone have handy, or know the link the schedule of "normal" daily tourneys in the regular poker room (on the E-Tables)? Will that said schedule run normally while the WSOP-C is running?

Does the regular poker room run SNG's daily?

Thanks in advance...

Those kinds of posts never have been deleted. Only posts which cover the merits of e-tables versus live dealers have been deleted. The classic example is someone stating a list of their personal pros and cons when it comes to e-tables. That has nothing to do with Harrah's Cherokee (other than HC having e-tables). Like Lattimer said, feel free to discuss what should/should not be allowed, the extent of my "power drunkenness" and "corruption," etc., in the Moderation Discussion Thread. Don't derail this thread.

The focus should be on dealer performance and improvements over time. Evaluate and keep the ones who become competent.
I disagree about the amount of dealers in the Carolinas with years of experience. Even though there haven't been casino poker games, there are underground games all over NC/SC. They may have to learn "better" procedure (especially when there's a camera watching) but they'll be way ahead of any new dealer just starting out.

Now why aren't all of them applying? I can imagine most of them don't want to work for Harrah's. Harrah's Cherokee specifically. And/or the pay isn't as good as their current dealing job.

I also heard from a floor for a crew that run some of the MS tournaments that they applied for jobs as floor and dealers and they were told they didn't have enough experience. And these are people who have 10+ years dealing tournaments all over. So who knows, there's tons of weird poker room politics....

If they are underground poker games, they are probably in larger NC/SC cities, which are mostly 3 hours or more from Cherokee.

I was recently informed that they are actually using the old method based on hands, not time. My apologies knight rider (I told you and two others this info before finding out otherwise). The scale is the same with regard to RCs and TR points.

Normal poker tourney schedule is not in play during the WSOP.

This is good news, Anthony. Just to be clear, you're talking about PokerPro, right? Also, will this hands-not-time policy remain in effect going forward?

I am not convinced that all is well with the Poker comps. The last few times I have played, the comps don't show up until about a week later, and I was not able to use recent comps earned in Food Court the same week when I was there. That was not always the case, as they used to show up almost immediately. Maybe they are switching back to number of hands, but sounded to me like they at least tried to switch by the number of hours, causing the delay in posting.

I guess I will be the first to ask: which one is the final table?

You can't see it as well with the resize of the pic. On the left up on the stage. Last year had the hand shown, without hole cards of course, on a large screen.

So 2 different mods have instructed all moderation-related posts to take place in the Moderation Discussion thread, not here. But multiple users are ignoring us and doing it here anyway. Any more moderation-related posts in this thread and the user is receiving a week off.

With that said, please see the Moderation Discussion thread if you're interested in this issue. Rapini did a great breakdown of the past 200 posts or so to show what is and isn't currently allowed, to give you guys an idea of the line.

The cash action was drunk with power last night and some of the cherokee dealers have improved quickly. There was also another dealer last night with prior experience. hands per hour was up to about 20. dealer changes seemed better and chip runners seemed more proficient.

One suggestion I would make is setting up a mini cage at the floorman stand in the back. Seems like it would be pretty easy to keep 5-10 racks of red right there in a drawer and then refill that from the main cage. Most people would hear their name called for 2-5 and report to the back area, then have to turn around and go wait in line at the cage to get chips. This led to many seats being open for 5-15 minutes while people tried to buy in.

Overall, the quality of play remains atrocious and I would now rate it dealers>players>>>>rake. The room was packed last night, I can only imagine what this weekend will bring. One side benefit of the limited number of "live card" tables was the amount of players that jumped into games with the "e cards", most seemed to pick it up really quick and I didnt hear any complaints (other than the rigtard discussion about the straight flush vs royal flush in the plo game). But most people were there to play "live cards"; it could set up a lucrative dynamic of having a steady stream of players to pillage on the e-tables while they wait to get in the 2-5 (but the 2-5 is just tooo juicy right now to pass up).

I did hear that the professional dealers for the tournament will be utilized for cash games in the tournament area. This should be awesome, would be even better if the rake was lowered too. See you all on Friday night.

Register early. Big crowd. Event #1 is sold out. Several dealers from crew they brought in failed a Cherokee drug test and cant deal. Brand new dealers are being used to supplement tourney. Hope you don't get seated at those tables

If "some smaller rooms" = all Harrah's properties, the Venetian, the Bellagio, the Aria and oh yeah, everywhere, then yes, some smaller rooms rake. Standard is $4 rake most places, $5 at Harrah's properties.

Unreal numbers for Event #1. sold out 750 seats plus ~150 Alternates.

They had 6-7 speedy cashiers so registration line went pretty quickly.

Event #4, Saturday $365 ReEntry is going to be a zoo and if today is any indication will have even a larger prize pool. Might want to get your seat locked up early.

Poker in the Carolinas is alive and well.

How does being a alternate work? Do you get to register late to take the spots as people get knocked out? I plan I driving up from Asheville Monday for Event 6. That is the only event I have time to play. Hope I can get a seat.
