the 1/2 game plays deep sometimes with max buyin being 500$... makes a VERY nice 1/2 game... the higher stakes however when offered dont have a high limit buyin so its not worth it... the 2/5 for example is not 1250 max buyin or higher. makes me wonder if/when they offer a 5/10 game will it be 1000 max buy in? silly

I don't know why you think there is a problem with 2/5 max buy-in at $1000. That is same as Seminole Hard Rock casino's in FL (which actually used to be $600 max buy-in for 2/5 until very recently). Rebuys at Cherokee are easy.

Cherokee offers 5/10 NL right now if there are enough players. I don't know what the max buy-in is, but I am sure it is higher than $1000.

Been to Cherokee to play poker about 15-20 times and I am super excited for the Circuit event. It'll be my first WSOP-C event and I have my room booked FOR FREE at Harrah's from 4/7-4/10. Love the PokerPro tables with no tipping and more hands per hour so it sucks that they'll be losing that eventually.

Plan on playing some combination of Events #5-7 plus probably 1/2 cash games.

Hopefully will be a fun and profitable trip!

It is not clear that all the Poker Pro tables will disappear. Personally, I doubt it will happen any time soon (if ever), especially for 1/2 NL and tournaments.

I'm stopping in Cherokee on my way back down to Auburn.

I'll get there around 2 p.m. and stay a few hours. If anyone else is there, feel free to say hello -- I'm wearing dark shorts with suspenders (belts are no good for a long drive!).

That's good to hear. Don't really have the BR to play bigger so 1/2NL is perfectly fine. More fish at 1/2 anyway.

For playing poker at Cherokee about one weekend per month, I get 3 free hotel days (Sundays-Thursdays only) per month. I assume same deal for PokerERstyle. I usually don't get to use them very often, but obviously the WSOP-C week is an exception since I will there the entire week.

To find out if you are eligible for any offers, log on the Total Rewards website (create an online account if you don't have one). If you don't have a Total Rewards card, you can get one online also.

Coming up Friday morning, does the PLO game usually run during the day on Friday? How is the game?

Hit or miss on Friday. Maybe later that night. Saturdays start around 3-4pm and plays into Sunday evening.

Anyone have a guess as to the number of players that are going to show up? Seems like a lot of interest in my area (upstate South Carolina) but still easy for me to book a room and its only 2 weeks away. Hope it gets off to a good start. Ill be there for the entire series. Mostly a cash game player but I will play 2-3 events, a few of the nightly, and try to sat into the main.

The back room where the water cooler was is now empty with live tables ready to go in. The original pokerpro tables there have been moved to the main area with the other pokerpro tables. The water cooler is now near the front area by the poker room rules sign by the wall.

Thanks for the update Justice. I had been wondering if they were going to put the live tables up front or hidden in the back.

How do these type of events usually play out between each other?

Considering I plan on winning the Monday 6-handed event, will I still be able to play the Tuesday at noon?

In every poker room I have been in, the higher stakes games are in the back, or slightly more private than other games. At Cherokee, the live dealers will be for the higher stakes games.

I don't know for sure, but hard to believe that any events (other than cash games) will last to beyond 4 AM in the morning.

The $250 MTT will likely be a faster structure with less starting stack so it'll probably be over by midnight.

Plan is to have live dealers (they already have live poker) in the poker room in advance of WSOP-C and keep them. They have already moved a few PokerPro tables out of the back corner to make room for tables that will have live dealers. But these will initially be for 2/5 and above. Hard to predict how many live dealers they will have in the future, but probably depends on customer demand.

MAYBE as early as tomorrow (Thursday, March 28th). I've been telling people that there is no definitive date, and that is still true, but if everything falls into place correctly it should be either Thursday or Friday.
