I don't think it's actually a circuit event. It's branded as "The World Series of Poker Satellite Event". The structures were just posted here: https://www.caesars.com/content/dam/...structures.pdf and do look similar to the normal circuit structures.
A lot of people have made big plans to come to this tournament. Someone in authority are possibly Dennis Jones should come on here and reassure the public that this event is going to happen. TY
The free guest WIFI in the casino was a nice touch, didn't have it as of Dec 2019. Nice to see Cherokee join this century. They probably raised the price of a beer another buck to make up for it but I dont drink so whatever.
Also if you aren't 7star, Cherokee could give a damn about you. They have the most 7stars of any Harrahs in the country last I heard. I dont even think you can get a comped room with Diamond.
I have heard from a tourney dealer that I know that Thanksgiving Circuit is locked in. A smaller room near Atlanta even pushed up a series they are running to avoid conflicts.
They are just trying to determine if its going to be the kickoff for a full (half) 2021-2022 Circuit with rings, or simply a one off event like in August.
Has anyone seen a structure sheet for the new circuit? I don’t think they’ve been uploaded yet.
The Cherokee schedule might have some errors. On the wsopC site it shows a 10 am start for the main event. On that schedule posted above it shows 11 AM start. The 1100 is also kind of weird. It has the 1100 starting at 3pm and ending in 1 day. Usually they have the 1100 at 11 am and then a turbo starting in the afternoon. So they might have mixed those two events up.
