Was there wednesday and there was only 1 on the list when i got there. Think it was relatively short all day (10 at the most). If youre going this weekend tjough, with the WSOP there, depending when you go, dont be surprised if theres 70+ on the list

When I signed up last Saturday around 3PM the wait time 5 hours for 1/2.

Are they running any cash games in the event center or all in the poker room?

they've been running cash tables in both depending on how much space they have.

looks like tomorrow they have the main a mega sat and a 365. don't know for sure but they prolly wont open cash tables in the event center until after the 365 starts/the mega ends. so id expect a decent size list until AT LEAST 4-5

Was planning to drive up tomorrow evening to play and I am planning to crash in my car in parking deck.
Anyone here done this before? Is the air cool at night or will I be miserably hot and humid?

According to The Weather Channel, the low temp for Saturday night in Cherokee will be 63 degrees.

As for sleeping in your vehicle, I've never done it but I have heard numerous people that say they have.

Going to be around Cherokee some over next few days, not sure exact days. I see they normally have 1-2 and 2-5. I normally play in a deep 1-3 casino game playing tag. My goal isn't to see how often I can get it all in. Also i don't have a good history of with 1-2n I don't have a feel for good 1-2 bet sizing.

How are the games at Cherokee? My poker br can support 2-5 np. Life roll in very good shape and could if needed refill poker br. Any game refs at Cherokee, rational opinions welcome. I do sometimes play 2-5 back home in casino

I play 1/2. Games are usually pretty passive with lots of limping going on. Lots of omc types. You should have no trouble. Weekends will draw the most players with many coming from surrounding states to play. Good luck!

I prefer the 2-5. Both games are $7 max rake, but the 1-2 has a $200 buy in limit which is too limiting. 2-5 has $200-$1000 (or largest stack) buy in and most seem to buy in at $500. Games vary a lot.

this. been in some of the best 2/5s but also some of the worst. As with most if not all casinos, the later it gets the deeper the stacks, the better the game.

Im on my way to Cherokee this sat as I pass through. I was wondering how the 2-5 games ran? I see that the 1-2 games are pretty passive and soft. I am use to playing 1-2 games at MD Live which are pretty aggressive (10-15 raises min). Are the 2-5 games softer than most?

Heading to Cherokee in a few weeks. Tempted to hop into a few of the daily tournaments. Any thoughts on the tournaments there?

Fast structure, shove fest after a few levels - unless you play the deep stack tourneys on the weekend.

Gotcha, I'll probably just stick to the cash games then. Thanks

Planning a trip down to Harrah's in the next month or two.. not 100% set on the dates and I'm not the best tournament player so mainly focusing on cash.. How are the cash games (lower stakes, 1/2 & 2/5) during the Circuit (Nov-22nd->Dec4th) compared to after the circuit a week after?

Never been to a circuit event, as said above, mainly a cash player but really just looking for a decent cash game to hang around at for a few days.. Just wanting some input.. Thanks guys!

It's always easy to be critical of poker rooms for room rules, buy in structures, etc, but.....
I was looking on Bravo and see a Sting-Like-a-Bee tournament with profits going to cancer research. I know the casino does a lot for the community and charities but I was surprised to see this gesture from the poker room.

Whoever got this implemented, I appreciate it and tip my hat to you. I'm sure Bee would be honored.

I noticed this on Bravo over the weekend, is this is honor of the older, curly haired woman with that nickname on the PokerTec tables? "Would be honored" meaning sick or ....

Best cash game activity would be during the circuit. all the 1/2 usually gets played in the event center but 2/5 would prolly be the best way to go.

yes.. let the games begin. cant wait.

Im thinking they might set some more records .

sadly, no other big tournies at the same time at Seminole Hard Rock or Choctaw like WSPOC cherokee in April, so I guess more of the wizards will be in town. they are easy to spot though. they are the ones putting hoodies over their mouth while tanking. From what I understand , its currently the cool thing to do.

Not sure but last time it was the day after the PLO. Hoping the same this time. I'll be up there for the PLO event Monday and staying through Thurs. Looking forward to some Big O cash as well.
