Jack, when it was Horseshoe had the potential to be one of, if not the best stop on the WSOP circuit.
Attended the one and only circuit stop they hosted. Was run very well in the spacious convention area upstairs. Cash games downstairs were great. Players received voucher for lunch/dinner at a makeshift cantina, food was good.
Balcony overlooking an outdoor concert area was used by players for breaks, smoking etc.
But the thing that, over time, would have made Horseshoe Cinci circuit stop so good is Cinci and the area across the Ohio River, Newport/Covington. Lots of hotels super close. Amazing number of great bars/restaurants within a five minute drive and some easily walkable.
In other words, the location of the Casino in Cincinnati is amazing, way better than any other casino in five state area. Only Rivers Pittsburgh comes close.
So sad they couldn't make the circuit stop there work. Rant over/
