Does anyone know how many points are usually needed to qualify for the loyalty freeroll? Thinking about taking a run at it seeing as the next qualification period starts tomorrow...

Cheers!

Hate how so many live venues levy this 'stealth rake'. *grumble* Check the small print! (Las Vegas is also terrible in this regard.)

It does suck that you have to pay for your drinks at the Vic - unlike G Casinos elsewhere in the UK, where there's a basic selection of complimentary soft drinks for poker players.

Sup guys, I was thinking of going down there tomorrow at like 2 PM. Would there be games open for 1/1 at that time?

Going to be in London for a few days. What runs during the day on weekdays? Anything? Only played there once and it was PLO on a Thursday night.

Going to London for a week. Looking to play some 1/2 - 5/10 NL on weekdays. Is the Vic the best choice?

Thanks!

Pretty much.

Can get £5/£10 at the Palm Beach, but their cash games don't start until about 8ish.

I'm heading to London for a couple of days, thinking about stopping by the Vic while I'm there.

Anyone know if the casino will accept American dollars at the cage? I'd like to avoid major fees while converting my bankroll...

(Thanks in advance)

was there tonight. Only type of mixed games was apparently on mondays including super stud. Played 1/2 plo only which was ok value but 5% up to 10£ meant that people got raked a bunch and no free drinks to suffer the blow. No comps either rather than a monthly freeroll visitors cannot enter, yet they charged extra for that.

Guess its like the majority of places except vegas or the us in general, you get kinda screwed if you dont play high enough to make the rake a minor issue.

Does the Vic ever do 1/1 PLO?

I've never seen 1/1 PLO at the Vic myself. Would recommend sitting in the 1/2 on a bowl if its good (it frequently is friday/saturday), waiting for aces and going from there really.

There is a dedicated London thread worth checking out.

Also follow them on Facebook, they post regular updates, or get the poker live app by Grosvenor and it shows exactly what games on what tables and even shows names of players.

In regards to the Vic, daily it has a variety of omaha games...typically 2/5/10 6 card game being most popular, starts in the afternoon and usually gets a feeder game going later.

Depending who's in town, 25/50 and 50/100 4 card 6 max PLO has been making a regular appearance.

There is also quite regularly a 1/2 PLO game, varies from 4 card or 4/5/6 dealer chooses game. It is unfortunately filled with short stack nitty regs, and certainly a game I wouldn't play unless it has a good variety of players.
