As far as ive seen these run all the time and are fairly juicy. Last Saturday I noticed on a 20/40 Omaha table that a Asian lady had what I counted to be about $15000-20000 (maybe more) in front of her. The Omaha table is pure action, its way over my limit but I like to rail it.

Also there was no 5/10 last Saturday night so every table was over that limit.

I highly recommend it to fixed-limit hold'em players - I had a great time.
When did u play?

About 3 months ago (maybe more) I played with 2 guys that I thought were from Texas (height!). Then saw them at the gas station and sure enough Texas plates. I do remember the bigger of the two guys won a fair bit but the other guy wasn't so lucky.

How are the NL holdem 2/4 games in this casino during weekdays / weekends?

Pretty sure this casino only has NL holdem tournaments and not cash games. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, I've played the $550 and $330 NLHE tournaments regularly but the cash games are Limit. I sign up for the Spread Limit cash game with $100 maximum bets, but it doesn't usually run.

I'm one of less than ten people that sign up for Spread Limit after I play the Wednesday tournaments, but I have never gotten to play it yet at GBH. I've played Spread Limit at the OLG-sold Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands, and Point Edward Casino.

Just an update, the 20/40 Limit Omaha game w/ Half-Kill is still pretty going pretty strong. I've seen tight games where you rarely see a raise pre-flop and even a few chopped pots where there is no action taken pre-flop. And I've also played in a game where pretty much every hand is capped pre-flop 7-8 ways. Made almost $6k last Sunday from a $800 buy-in, obviously a blessed night.

Just an update, as of February they now run 1/2nl and 2/5nl games. Apparently they are no longer a charity casino which was preventing them from running NL in the past. They dont do a good job at advertising the games but the floor let me know that games usually run Thurs - Sun

I know about increasing the betting limit from $100 to $500, but whenever I sign up for the 1/2 spread limit game, it has never run.

They said it has been running consistently Thurs - Sun. Can any regs confirm this?

I confirmed with the supervisors that 2/5 spread limit do NOT run on weekends. It ran once on a Tuesday after the hyper turbo tournament.

**PRETTY SIGNIFIANT GBH UPDATE** (I think...)

I'd consider myself someone who frequents the room, but not a daily / weekly reg.

Was there yesterday for first time in 3 weeks...and they had a 1/2 NLHE game running.

In the past, they're tried to spread a 1/2 NL game, but it had a $100 betting cap, and never really took off.

But yesterday, everyone talked about GBH having recently been bought and the betting limit for the entire casino being raised to $2,500. So, the 1/2 game yesterday was no-limit...but with a $2,500 betting cap...essentially making it a regular 1/2 game.

I sat down about an hour into the game starting and played for 7 hours. Not only was it fairly soft, but the players kept rolling in and there was a good chunk of $$ on the table when I left.

A bunch of the regs still gravitated to the usual limit games...but I talked to the floor when I left and he said they'll start spreading 1/2NLHE whenever there's interest...they're just not actively promoting it.

Check it out for yourself, and maybe ask if there's a list or game next time you call in to get your name on the list...but it looks like the GBH may actually slowly becoming a NL room, as a closer option to the GTA than Rama or Niagara!

Stopped by real quick yesterday and saw they had 5 tables running and a list for 1-2, 2-5 and PLO (forgot which stakes).

Rake is 10%, up to $5 plus I believe a $1 JP drop at $20 (?).

Probably gonna play there next weekend for a bit.

Just called to get my name on the NL list but nope, no NL games running at the moment. Lady I talked to didn't mention any interest list either. Too bad.

Supposedly later this month they will have NL full time up to 5/10..

This would be amazing but apparently they've been willing to spread NL for a year now but they dont promote it and almost actively discourage in favour of their limit games.

Please update if you ever see NL running there.

They have had 1/2 and 2/5 NL for awhile, but I have rarely seen them run. When I finally saw one running, I played in the short-handed table, but it kept going down to 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 until we finally called it quits at heads-up.

The good news is that GBH will finally be expanding - https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/201...on-casino.html

Just an update on the NL action @ GBH. Was there last week and going again tonight...

They're fully running NL games now. Last week they had 1/2 (min$60/max.$200), 2/5 ($200/$500) and 5/5 ($500/$1k I think?) as well as their usual limit action.

I asked the floor, why all the NL action now being spread...and he said "we've decided to start promoting NL games from now on".

Will report back after my trip tonight if anything's changed

Is NL still running?

Limits?

# of tables?

Would be great if this ran regularly.

Might check it out this weekend.

First time I'd been there in a year so I was surprised at the NL games. The 2/5 I played was really good. This was a Saturday though, lots of fun players.
