You're thinking of Ginger " The Movie Star" Mrs. Howell was as old as Thurston.

Ah right. See, this is what the lack of poker does to us, leads us to random dumb conversations about Gilligan's Island.

Maybe once this Covid thing is over I'll organize a "write your MPP to get Toronto poker and keep the money local rather than online" thing. There's got to be a way to get these evil casinos to play ball.

This casino is beyond ******ed. I go there yesterday, and there's a sign at the cage, something to the effect of "We do not currently offer US currency exchange."

When was the last time you saw a casino that expressly stated American tourists are not welcome? And more to the point, why would they ever do this? Is there a cost to them of changing USD at a high markup?!? I mean I understand there aren't many tourists these days, but currency exchange is a cost free profit centre for casinos. Why would one not do it lol?

I sit down at the table, the shuffler is off and the dealer is manual shuffling. So I think whatever the shuffler's broken and they just haven't fixed it yet. Table breaks later, I go to the other table, same thing. At that point I ask the floor what's up. He tells me they're broken. I say all of them? He nods his head. I then ask why they haven't fixed them, he says they don't have anyone who knows how to.

Then there's their brand new hotel they just opened. Why they would spend money building a new hotel at a tiny casino doomed for failure in the middle of nowhere is another question altogether, but the part I thought most amusing was the name they came up with for their new hotel. Right above the lobby hangs a nice new sign, with the word "HOTEL". I wonder who the marketing genius is who thought of that name.

Whenever government steps in and dictates winners and losers, we the public end up being blessed with companies like Great Canadian Gaming.

Yes avoid this place for poker. Colluding amongst groups of friends (teams) and strange calls from players lead me to believe there is rigging going on. Employees may be in on it as it would make sense, since there is less foot traffic especially amongst the poker players in that casino. I've found the same at casinorama as well. You're basically throwing your money away or better off with blackjack online.

Does anyone know if their 25 table poker room will be opening anytime soon?
