That's good to know, hopefully 5-10 mixed will become a regular thing there. It's the only game of its kind I've seen at a casino.

After some years playing against many of the same players and player types at the 101, Graton has opened up a whole new world. Some high points that I have observed:
So many pre flop mistakes
Many players who, after a limper or two, make it $55 with queens because they don't want to see an ace or king
Betting $35 into a $15 limped pot and other equity mistakes
One hand today I raised a limper in ep to $25 with kings and I got 3 callers. Flop came 975rr and limp-caller open ships all in for $500 into $100 pot. He gets called by a $150 stack and he wins with a flopped straight. Point is that it is easy to hand read.
I know nothing is an absolute in poker, but if a nit like me can learn this and book more winning sessions than losers, then there is something to it.

Rake Structure for 1/3, 2/5, 5/10, 10/25 NL?

I'm headed to San Francisco from:

Monday 1/6/13 - Thursday 1/9/13. How are the games midweek here compared to Lucky Chances?

I usually play in juicy, albeit, shallow games!!!

All games are 4 for the rake and 1 for the bad beat on the flop when it's a full game.

Bay Area native but work down south in a poker room. This place looks amazing.. Too bad the service and knowledge of dealers and floor is weak. They have games going but seen so many errors by dealers. I was talking to one of the floor staff and asked her how long has been floor before here, she said this was her first time being on the floor and rather deal them floor.. Really?? I was amazed to her that.
Anyhow no table side service. You have to get it yourself. They have a bad beat promo and not sure what else. Nothing else posted besides that.
Seats take forever to get filled. I had to get own chips before. Just not what I expected for a casino that looks so amazing..

A lot of people like dealing more than being floor. Dealing is more physically demanding, but pays more.

Hotel is TBD.

There are several motels around and a Red Lion across the freeway.

Visited 1st time this week and was told by Shift Manager that tourney chips have just been delivered so its a matter of time before they start kicking those off.

The room is already full with cash games at night, hopefully they limit the tournaments to mornings or whenever I'm not there.

Apparently, Graton is trying to spread a 6/12 mixed limit game like the one that's been going lately at the 101. It's one down of 6/12 holdem w/kill alternating with a down of 6/12 w/kill Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or better... I've played it a few times lately and it's a great game because generally the holdem players aren't very strong at omaha 8 and vice versa, making it a terrific game.

I think everyone who plays PLO just wants 2/5 and higher. I'm sure if you ask they will put up an interest list.

Somewhat annoying but he drinks too much, which combined with his already exploitable style is not a bad thing, except that he slows the game way, way down.
Loud is a little bothersome. Goofiness is whatever, but it is hard enough to get hands in a live game without him hollywooding or smashed beyond understanding and not know what's going on.
I played with this guy yesterday for the first time since a while back at the 101, the term douchebag doesn't even do him justice.

His music on his Ipod was loud enough for everyone to hear. He talks like a white wannabe gangster from 1996. His attitude reflects that of a man with balls the size of peanuts and a dick the size of a toothpick, constantly speaking down to anyone in shouting distance.

Everyone at the table was watching the Niners game, yet he assumed everyone was paying attention to him talk about how good he is and would not shut up.

He actually calls himself "Daddy" and claimed to have "more money than God."

The story didn't necessarily check out when he lost a $900 pot after some old guy shoved a gutter in his face and got there. For the next 30-45 mins he berated the dealers and told everyone numerous times how they sucked and had no idea.

He kept calling the waitress over, saying "hold on a sec honey" and then tanking needlessly when he was obv. folding while she waited. In the above pot, the poor girl stood there for like 5 mins for his tank, another 5 mins for his post-hand tirade and then he said, "oh I am good right now babe."

This was all capped off by the pinnacle of douchebagness, as he proceeded to count his stack of $1000 in bills no less than 5 times in the hour or so I was at the table, at least once while the waitress stood there waiting for his order.

Needless to say, as soon as a new table opened, I moved and had a few conversations with the floor about his pre-pubecent antics, specifically his lack of respect for dealers and waitresses.

I nominate this guy for World's Biggest Scumbag and highlight this piece of pond scum as an example of how not to act at the poker tables.

Ive played it at Graton only twice and a handful of times at matrix. id say the games play pretty similar as far as stack sizes and difficulty level. Graton's seems better when it's the biggest game running in the room. It seems like it's also got to be worse since the Feds poached one of its players.

It's a story worthy of at least one good scene in a poker movie, but I didn't see it firsthand so I'm reluctant to tell, maybe one of the big game players will.

They had a full 5/10 PLO game going last night, usually I just see 2/5. Today the casino is giving away a BMW, must be there to win. I wonder if it'll bring some nice action to the room or just to the slots.
