How do you not have every cash table open during the wsop? Did they not expect big crowds?
In late June they had a bad beat that rose to $500K and they had 20 tables running almost daily
So they had about 40 competent dealers at that time
Then the BBJ hit like 3 times in 2 weeks sending it to around $25K and the players were gone.
They struggled to get 4 tables going during the week
Countless dealers were let go or left for Rivers
Around late Sept, the players started to return, especially on weekends
So, they do not have that "max staff" level back
Also, they are not going to add more dealers just for the 11 days of WSOPC
So for what it is worth, that's a little background on the situation
Some will say Rivers took their player base, but Rivers was open in April and GVC was loaded to the gills thru late June when the massive BBJ hit, so I dont think Rivers had as much impact as some will claim
