I took a few years off from this poker room due to strict rules and difficult managers but I did return months ago due to the emergence of 5/10 NLHE.
I was disappointed Friday night because there was only one 5/10 game and a list of 10-11 deep. The main game 5/10 players are rocks....they never leave....so this list stayed that deep all night and the 1/2 and 2/5 lists were open......
This poker room started getting credibility once they started having a regular 5/10 game and managers lightened up a little....... I hope this doesn't happen again. If it does then ill be back at the shoe.


Overall though....staff is still much better than before and I will still play here but there needs to be 2 5/10 tables on a busy Friday night. if not then ill take my business to the shoe.

Ive never done the math but is a raked 2/5 game better for the casino then a 5/10 game charging time? They need to realize the down stream revenue 5/10 players give the casino.....

Better gas up the car for the trip to the Shoe.

I have seen a few recent Fridays with 2 5-10 nlhe tables. That along with the talk about expanding the poker room got me excited......but this last Friday seems like old times. makes no sense to scare away the 5/10 players due to long waits. I don't accept waiting over 5 hours for a 5/10 game and not getting in the game! wont go back for a little while. id rather have an hour drive to the shoe then 5 hour wait in elgin... but I guess some genius over there thinks its good to let the higher limit players to go elsewhere.
