I feel the room has got a little better but there is so much more to improve on. The dealers r much better I wish they would split tips this would make some slow and bad dealers step it. The floor managers better much. I just feel like they are watching everyone like a Hawk and need to relax sometimes. I really wish they would run a bad beat and lesson the rake and play 9 handed so more tables could open sometimes that is a win win for everyone. I keep playing on and off because it so close to home. I wish the shoe was closer.

GVC appreciates all their players, even the ones that complain about every single thing. Maybe the problem is not always in their employees, complainers should ask themselves who and what is the real problem. Losing money is not fun but do not blame it on GVC staff. They are only there to follow the rules. Good luck to all of you that stop by.

Complainers should ask themselves the reasons why they complain but GVC is in the service arena so they should also ask themselves what they could do better if they hear common themes in the complaints. I did give GVC great marks for the first night I went back but my expectations were low since it was so bad years ago. Even though my grades were high.....there still seemed a hint of the "father knows best" attitude with management. It was one visit and I hope more. But it's a two way street and both sides should be critical of themselves in ways it could be better. This sounds silly but GVC should give out a survey to its players and see what they think. It could go to both the losers and the winners.

This is total BS. GVC has zero respect for their players. Terrible comps, sky high rake, no player promotions, sub-par dealers/employees, and you are not even on Bravo Poker Live!

And to be clear, I no longer play in your room. I was actually thinking about playing a session at GVC, to see if anything had changed. However, after reading this nonsense, I can see that the employees/management/poker room hasn't changed.

I won't be going back.

its significantly better than years ago....but It sounds like it has a ways to go.
I do feel spoiled at the shoe....... I can dream of a day that I can sit down at a GVC poker table and order food, order drinks, not worry about the cell phone police and be treated like everyone else in the casino. A strong poker room is great for the whole casino. I recognized some staff in there that used to work at the shoe......so they must know what the players are talking/complaining about.

I heard that sometimes they run a 5/10 no limit game on Wednesday?

So, more fun times... Ive had a good month at gvc, yay. Tonight on 1/2 I get in a minor argument with another player- it was nothing, he offered too much advice and I told him hhe just got on the table so shouldnt offer advice. Jen told us to not talk to each other and we didnt for 20 minutes. She switched and told the next dealer that we werent allowed to talk to each other? So then some lady stood over my shoulder, literally right over my shoulder, for 20 plus minutes.
I could feel her evil eyes staring at me but I just dealt with it, finally another player asked her to leave. He told her just what I was feeling, he asked why she was all on top of him. She said she was doing her job??? Ive never seen a floor do their job that way before and I hope to not experience it again/ I racked up and left.

5/10 runs frequently, and the players can be really bad. I wish I could afford to see a flop.

It's been running every wednesday lately.
If youre only planning on playing 5-10 though i would still call before leaving the house to make sure the game is running. If there is only an interest list ask how many players are on the list. They dont typically open this game short handed so you want 10+ on the list.
Not sure what time this game gets going as my shift doesnt start til 1030 and the games already running when i come in.

If you dont mind playin 2-5 then just come on out. Even if 5-10 doesnt get off the 2-5 game will be good.

What are games like from 8AM to 1 or 2 PM? Need to get some hours in but was wondering if it's dry old man coffees sitting around. I called they said there is a game that gets off right at 8-830 every morning just curious if it would be the least bit profitable. Thanks in advance

I never go to gvc in the mornings I head to the shoe at like 5 am if I want to get a early session in. I don't play here until like 2 pm

I haven't played here in a couple of years, but the day time games suck. It's a bunch of old man coffees and loose/passive nit grinders. The overnight games are where the action is at

Thanks, shoe is a little too far for me. I knew the games would be significantly worse, but at the same time I've never been at a terrible table at gvc. Midnight-4AM would be much better then?
