Good spots in Europe? Good spots in Europe?

I've been in Prague for about 5 months. In the US I play mostly tournaments now so that is what I was looking for in Prague.

In December the EPT was in Prague and in Rozvadov. The tournaments were awesome (they held a Seniors tournament in Prague!) The cash games at King's casino in Prague were up and running. Multiple tables. In Euros there was 1/2 or 1/3, 2/5, 5/10 for NL. I think there was also 25/50. For PLO there was a table but I don't know the stakes. I have played a couple of tournaments in King's Casino in Prague since then and I really haven't seen any cash games running in the poker room (I could be wrong about that).

The only decent sized tournaments in Prague are at Luka Rebuy Stars weekly on Tuesdays. They range from 2,000 Crowns (~$90) to 10,000 crowns (~$450). They also occasionally run 10,000 crown progressive bounty tournaments like once a month as well as some multi-day 6,000 crown tournaments (like once every other month). The fields though are very aggro and GTO/Solver oriented. So its like playing in a poker graduate school on a partial scholarship (for low stakes). The field equivalent in the US would be about 3 times the entry fees.

Every now and then they run a decent buy in Day 1 (like 250+ Euros) at King's casino in Prague with the Day 2 at Rozvadov (LOL I didn't know Day 2 was in Rozvadov the first time I played in a Day 1...). So the cash games might be better on those days.

At Luka they are running a PLO game (high only) basically every Tuesday along with the tournaments. Sometimes they have a NL cash game as well. It seems highish stakes but I don't know what the stakes are. Also I have no idea what the rake is but I think it may be bad...

If anybody is interested let me know and I will research it next time I am there (which will be 6/9/23 and then a lot of Tuesdays through October though I will be in the US for WSOP events in mid June through some of July).

Yesterday in Prague I asked at Luka Rebuy Stars casino what the stakes were for their PLO game on Tuesdays when their best tournaments are also running. It's 50/50 in Czech Crowns which is the equivalent of about $2.40/$2.40. The rake is 5% I believe. That means that for smaller pots its a bit less than the US. For it to exceed Foxwoods rake, the pot would have to exceed $140 (or about 3,000 Crowns) which I'm guessing happens occasionally.

I don't play PLO but the game looks lively and fun when I come over to say high to the French pro who happens to be an extremely nice guy. Who also speaks English which is rare in Prague...

I love playing at Luka in their tournaments because their dealers are awesome and their Floors are awesome as well. In the 8 months I've been playing there I've seen maybe two disputes (involving the same guy and the same dealer) where the Floor was called over and the dealer was right both times. After the second one the Dealer was visibly shaken so I told her when the next break started and we were alone at the table how dumb the guy was. Instead of getting so mad I told her he should have asked her to marry him. She tried hard not to smile at that but in fairness I said it in English, and she was Ukranian...

There have been maybe three or four other times when a dealer made a mistake at the table I was playing at (like miscounting the bet sizing when giving change to other players). Each time when a player (usually me) pointed out the mistake the dealer would immediately correct it without needing a floor to come over. The dealers are also understanding and kind when a player (usually me) points out a mistake that turns out not to be a mistake. They explain why I am wrong and we move on quickly.

Also I called over one of the Floors once because a woman was on her phone during the hands watching something and I was hoping it wasn't a solver... The Floor looked at what was going on for a few hands and decided that she was streaming some kind of video unrelated to poker so my anxiety was relieved by her (the Floor's) professionalism.

Luka Rebuy Stars is one of my favorite casinos in the world (and I have been to quite a few casinos). Its a very down to earth place. They often provide meals for the players at their larger tournaments (which occur every Tuesday and occasionally on Fridays and Mondays and a few times a year they have a bunch of Day 1's and a Day 2 with very decent overall guarantees) with 25 minute or so break. Their waitresses are lovely and considerate. And their floors are among the few people who in the Czech Republic will talk with me in English (at length during the breaks) !

Its easy to get to Luka by subway which run very frequently (and if you are over 65 its free) though after midnight the subway shuts down so sometimes when I go deep in a tourney I have to take an Uber home. Which is relatively inexpensive. On the bright side if you win a tournament the subway starts up again at 5am.

I researched German poker casinos, and went to play in Wiesbaden in 10 days. Made a detailed video about travelling there, and playing some €2/4/8, on my channel.
Curious where else there is good 2/5 and higher, would definitely go play there as well, as there seems to be a lot of casinos that have poker.
