That is interesting. The second manager is a familiar name from Ballys. At any rate, the room opens tomorrow, according to the link.
Lets see if he can keep his hands out of the "Cookie Jar" this time around

From noon to midnight every hour the high hand (deuces or better) only need 1 card in your hand qualifies to spin the wheel (125 - 500) ten spots on the wheel. If nobody hits 125. is carried over to the next spin. Keeps carrying over until someone gets it. When there are 4 or more tables in the room it hits every hour when there is less is doesn't. I was there when a guy spun for 500 plus no one hit for 5 hours so he made $1125 and was there for maybe 1/2 hour. I've been there almost everyday and have spun the wheel three times. Very easy

Unless you're saying he's lying, he's not an employee.

Here's to hoping this room takes off. Beautiful room, comfortable. Awesome tourney structure. Great guarantees.

Saw that on Bravo. How could this possibly work??? I don't know of ANY poker room that has resorted to NO RAKE as a way to draw in players.

How long could they conceivably do this before they'd have to close again???

over 12 hours--and not one local that plays in the room daily--and reads this thread--knows how the no rake promo works?

Here's my ?... Just about every time I check Bravo, there's no games running. They have 2.5k and 3.5k guaranteed tourneys listed 4 days a week. I can't imagine they suddenly get an influx of runners for these without anything else going, thus extreme EV. Can anybody confirm they are doing these, as it shows it started the 6th, and what the overlay has been?

Tuesday was the launch of they're tourneys. It went off, had 45 runners I think? First place was around $1300. So there was an overlay.. I talked to the 2 poker supervisors that were there at the time and they said all guarantees will be just that. GUARANTEED. no matter how many people show up. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. 20Kss with the optional $5 for 5k. 20 min levels. Love it. Had heaps early, then got set over setted. Then ran kings into aces shortly after. Love the tourney chips as well. Chip shufflers dream .

No doubt I'll be trying to get there those 4 days.

Like I said in my previous post, Played 1/2 for about 12 hours last night/this AM, started 3 handed. People slowly came in and filled the game up. Started with only $100, other 2 guys bought in full. Grinded my way to a stack of $850 by nights end. Guy on my left who came in later, sat with $200. He left with ~$1100. Fun table, lots of laughs. 3 of the 4 dealers were competent. One was pretty bad IMO. Good mix of players as well. Some terribads and some good ones.

Was wondering if the cash games have picked since the no rake promo. Also wondered how tournaments and guarantees were going for runners since Borg is on tourney hiatus for Open. Specifically looking for information on number of runners on Friday, Saturday, Sunday tournaments.
