They will have LESS competition, as the Resorts Poker Stars relationship formally hit the skids, since the head of Poker stars remains under federal indictment. ( Just a small problem )

I am not sure what made them think they would get a license.

That is interesting. The second manager is a familiar name from Ballys. At any rate, the room opens tomorrow, according to the link.

According to the Bravo information, the room isn't opening until Noon on December 26, pending regulatory approvals.

I read the December 18 date as being when the phone number goes live.

I wonder why they need 3 people to run a 10 table room.....

I do wish them all good luck!

Yep, just saw the Golden Nugget Facebook page just post the official opening is now December 26th. For what it's worth, I peeked through the curtains on Sunday afternoon to where they are putting the room, looked like one table was in the whole room and it appeared to be a regular blackjack table from what I could see. They had some construction equipment in there but they seem a ways off if they want to open it up on the 26th. This whole thing seems pretty strange to me.

actually they changed the date that two other people reported seeing on the web site. They also added a manager. Maybe they are all the workers, or they have four managers. interesting.

Great timing opening up a poker room in the middle of winter in AC.

from what i read, the high hand promotion has a minimum qualifying hand of quad deuces, so it's a far cry from a "high hand every hour". I did see the wheel sitting on the counter at the front desk. Prizes range from $125- $500

If someone doesn't have quads during the hour then no one gets high hand ? This promo is not as good then

Pretty sure I read somewhere that it rolls over into the next hour, and the next, and the next if it doesn't get it.

They updated Bravo but i'm still confused. Says something about high hand is up to $518. Maybe at the end of each hour where it isn't hit, they spin the wheel and add that amount to the high hand pot? I have no idea but it would be helpful to have some clarification.

Really can't figure this room out. They updated bravo a little bit and it says "liberal comping". They sparked my interest a little bit so i called the room and asked how much they comp per hour for 1/2 NL and the guy says " a dollllaaaaa". lol that's all. whatever. I don't know how you're going to steal anyone from Borg when you are comping less than they are and you are calling that "liberally"

Two different promotions. The high hand promotion is a daily promotion they are running from 12 noon to 12 midnight. Every hour you could win up to $500.00, if nobody hits then $125. gets added to the next spin and so on. The $518, which is now $548, is part of the Bad Beat Promotion. Every Suit of a royal Flush, and a selected Quad of the day, "the golden quad" each has a separate jackpot that grows each day it isn't hit just like a "bad beat" only you don't need to lose you just need to have it.

Some early problems with Bravo but they said they have it fixed now. They have had 4 to 5 games every night. They are giving away almost $6000.00
a day with only a few tables, ill let you figure the odds.

i don't believe it. the previous management kept changing the rules on the requirements for the give a ways, and in the process, alienating the guests who eventually went back to the Taj, Borgata, or the CET poker rooms from which they came. Given this history, the lack of posted rules or even a rulebook, (the Taj, Borgata, and even Caesar's had something resembling a rulebook,) I am doubtful. Do you have to have $20 in the pot? Is that sufficient? I played at GN earlier this year before they started changing the rules on getting the promotion money every day, the idea changed to finding reasons to deny a claim (you didn't bet or raise on the river, no one called on the river in the $500 pot, etc.,) and no two managers could agree on what the rules were. You have a lot of work to do to win back the trust of your former base of players.
