Granted, the supervisors need to work on the rudeness and lack of civility issue,
More disturbing however, is the general lack of knowledge
of poker rules and operating procedures.
A few examples are in order.
(1) While playing yesterday I saw three pots awarded
to the wrong player.
(2) In one hand both the dealer and the floor precisely
articulated the following rule: "a bet made that is more
than half the amount needed needed to raise, shall be considered
a raise." They then proceeded to apply a different rule:
"a bet made that is half or more
than half the amount needed needed to raise, shall be considered
a raise."
(3) One player refused to keep the cards dealt to him in full
view of the dealer at all times. This resulted in serious
problems later, when a pot was awarded and the dealer
was washing
the cards and only then did the player hiding his cards from the
dealer reveal a very powerful hand.
(4) Despite the fact it is generally understood that any player who sees
an error about to be made in awarding a pot has an ethical
obligation to speak up, the floor did not want to hear
in such a circumstance from players not involved in the pot.
(5) Although you are allowed to buy the button, several on the staff do not know who can buy the button or even where the button is placed...

Ive seen several occasions of this with other players, but when one of them snapped at me and acted like if I was making his job difficult because I POLITELY asked to have my tournament table balanced (mine had 6, another had 9)...that is when I decided I wasnt returning anytime soon. The "craked aces and kings" promotion is nowhere near enough to help them. They need a MAJOR overhaul of the attitude of some of their staff if they want their room to even stand a chance. Somehow, I dont see it happening.
