If anyone confirms a running OE game, I might go down. Have to sort out children and plug the gaping hole that Vegas left in my wallet.

Played some drunk $4/$8 there tonight. There was 2 $8/$16 games going, not sure if they were Hold'em or Omaha, but the room was pretty dead overall, at least for a Saturday night.

Pretty sad, service still is abysmal, and No electronic board in sight.

When I asked a couple dealers why they were slowing down, one said, "Good, we've been swamped". Which made me LOL. And another said, cause of the UFC pay-per-view. Which is still LOL.

Pretty sad, Looks like this room is dying, and Casino AZ is going to be the King of Arizona for the foreseeable future.

Oh well....

I hope to see that it is busy today. I will be there to play some 8-16 mix or holdem. The football giveaways are allways good.

First time there to play and I get seated to HereBigFishy's left. Was good to meet ya.

Game was alright, table was average imo. Played for about 3hrs. No board when I showed up so I sat right in. They had @ 12 tables going with everything from 3-6 to 15-30HE. I didn't see the mix game going though. Service was decent, didn't see/hear any complaints. Video board is still not operational. Dealer said that they held a "Brainstorming Meeting" to see how they can improve the poker room. Good for them! Being proactive! I didn't find it to be too dark as others had said. The Player Card sign-in thingy took about 4 seconds per player, so that wasn't an issue as someone has said earlier in this thread.

Overall, I liked the room and will probably be there some time over the T-Day Holiday. However, I'm EAGERLY awaiting the opening of the new CAZ. I have a feeling it'll kill the Poker Room at Gila...

It was a pleasure to meet ya Beanie... I really enjoyed the room and I think that is will be a success. The action is still great.

I only got to play a couple of hours and I really had no complaints. The chips got to the table quick, the service was good, I liked the lighting.. I don't know what the complaint is about???

I look forward to the weekend... se ya guys there

I'll be making my debut at the new WHP on Fri, donking away 1k at what I hope to be a lively 15/30 LHE table. If not, $600 will have to suffice at the 8/16.

Howard will recognize me from CAZ as the guy that got jacked by the floor, and then reimbursed by the gaming commission, over one of the most ludicrous floor decisions I've ever witnessed. If he's not there, no one else will probably know who I am. Regardless, I'll be sure to role-play a douchebag Scottsdale transplant looking for some action prior to some table service at Airia. LOL!

You gonna be there for the open of Aria?

They had their opening on 11/13. I didn't go, but I think it'll be a failure. Chandler is not Scottsdale. I don't care what anyone says.

I am the total opposite of the kind of person that would go there, but I'll gladly play the part of "that guy" for table image purposes.

I think that's the name of the nightclub at WHP, doc. And I was told that opening night was attended by a horde of half naked 20 somethings. Not that that would do me any good.

Sometimes a few migrate down to the poker room on grave shift at like 3am. Helps keep you awake during a long session.

Must be. The real Aria casino doesn't open until 12/16; hotel opens 12/17.

Also just noticed the spelling difference.

WHAT? That guy not only has the nuts the other guy doesn't even have cards but blah, blah, blah: chop the pot.

So, naturally he 'objected strenuously' and blah, blah, blah: chop the pot.

Then he posted on 2p2, I saw it, it came to the attention of the manager of the poker room, I don't know what influence his writing to the gaming commission made on the manager, but he asked me to get in touch w/ our 2p2 fellow to give him his phone number and he got what was coming to him.

Worst floor decision I've ever seen but it got straightened out quicker because of 2p2.

Yup. No telling what would've ultimately happened here, but Howard got it happening much quicker.

Had another poor decision happen the next time I decided to play, months later, less than 1 orbit in, where I was in late position. Hands were all dealt and action was taking place. I had AA, there was at least 1 person posting after coming back from break, and 1 or more raises to me. I announced a raise, and commotion broke loose for some reason. Next thing I knew, the dealer was collecting cards within seconds and proclaimed, "We'll just start this one over then!" or some ***** like that. I'm not joking. Yeah, great experiences there.

So its the casino's fault that there was a misdeal when you had AA? Would you had been that mad if you had 7-2? Is it the misdeal or the decision or could it be that your mad because you had pocket AA's and a misdeal happend to you on that particular hand?

You should probably be more clear about why the cards were re dealt.

Easy, dude. I thought I made it apparent that I don't know what happened (nor did other players to my left). What I do know is that the dealer never explained the situation even after he mucked the cards. My holding was irrelevant...I mentioned it because it obviously made the situation more memorable, given that less than 7 hands into my first session back after I got shafted, that happened.

Our best guess was that a limper(s) acted out of turn and was, at the time, forced to leave his chips in the pot, and then got pissed when he/they now had to pay 2 more SB's in order to see the flop. So they caused commotion and the dealer caved.

My point's still the same, though. Not a fan of that place and don't go more than once per couple of months in part because of that, and I just hope WHP succeeds. Competition is always good.

Anyway...will I see you on Friday?

They wouldn't start a second 8-16 until 'I have more back-up' presumably for the 4-8 game. So I waited an hour today and they started another 4-8 and I just headed over to C.A. It seems to me that they're not particularly interested in building bigger games. If some show up they'll take it but they won't go out of their way and, if that's the case I won't bother going at all. If any of you people want to try and talk to management go ahead. I've usually found it a waste of time.

I had the same experience on Monday. Showed up around 1:30 and wanted to play $8/$16, but also put my name on the $4/$8 list. Sat around till 2:15 w/out them getting down to my name on either list, or them starting a new game, heard the same "sorry no back-up line". So I left. They we're running 1 $8/$16 game and 1 $2/$250 game.

During the football promo Monday Night at CAZ, there were 2 20/40s, 3 8/16s, 1 6/12, and 2 6/12 Omaha 8/b.
